Owner / Manager / LMBT #8098

I was raised on a Tennessee plateau and moved to Western North Carolina in 2005, drawn by the mountains, culture, and people of this region. I am a proud graduate of the North Carolina School of Natural Healing, the Appalachian School of Holistic Herbalism, and the Asheville Yoga Center.

As a licensed massage therapist since 2008, I am incredibly grateful to have found such a true calling and passion in my work. I believe that whatever you give your time, attention and energy to will expand and flourish in your life. The most rewarding aspect of my healing arts journey has been watching my tiny private practice grow into the beautiful collective of healers it is today.

Self-care creates a ripple effect of well-being that benefits everyone, and I am so honored to be a part of it. It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you into our beautiful healing house. Thank for for supporting our small business.

My Reviews

“Five stars isn’t enough! My husband and I had a couple’s massage here on 8/22 and oooohhh my gosh it was AMAZING!! We’re super active and do activities that get us pretty banged up often so we’re always sore and pretty inflexible. We came to Asheville for a little mini vacation and wanted to do a massage together and are so glad we found this place. It was an hour long and I can honestly say that it was the best massage we’ve ever had in our lives. We talked about it for hours on the way home. The two massage therapists (I totally forgot their names, but I believe it was Allison and Duncan) were beyond incredible. They came in before the massage and asked us great questions about our concerns, sore/tight areas, etc. I left there feeling like I was walking on clouds and my back didn’t hurt at all which is beyond rare. My husband excitedly told me that he felt “flat” which apparently is super good…? (haha) My husband said “The name “Healing House” is very accurate because there is actual healing going on in there!” I agree. We live 4 1/2 hours away and are seriously making the drive again just for another massage!!!”

“My wife and I were looking for a solid, therapeutic massage to kick off vacation and some online research helped us find Wild Rose. So glad we did. Wild Rose is in a “real” house and run by fantastic people who made our visit exactly what we needed. Our masseuses Allison and Michael made our 60 minute hot stone massage go by far too fast (next time 90 minutes!), and we felt great. Wild Rose is what a good massage center should be. Clean, professional, friendly and fairly priced. We would certainly return!”

The massage I received at Wild Rose Healing House was Golden! Allison was both professional and personal as she guided my body through its healing. Her communication was clear and friendly. True Mastery. The energy at Wild Rose is sweet, flowful and connective. It is a lovely place to relax and Be. Thank you Wild Rose for your hospitality. I am most grateful and I give you the highest recommendation possible. Once people have visited you I feel they will agree. Big Aloha!

“From start to finish I had such a relaxing experience. The front desk ladies were lovely, and I just adore the design and decor of the house. I would say this was in the top 3 best massages I’ve ever had. Allison truly loves what she does and has an expert feel for finding what I needed, and even gave me suggestions to improve posture and overall well being. I cannot recommend a visit to Wild Rose enough and ask for Allison !!”

“We went to Wild Rose Healing House for an anniversary celebration and we were very pleased with the facility, the service, and especially the massage ! Exceptional ! I agree with the other reviews that this is the place to go in Asheville, NC. We have been to almost all the Asheville places and this exceeded our expectations ! I would rate this experience up there with some of the finest spas we have been fortunate enough to go to throughout the south. My wife and I had selected the Lotus package for our anniversary massage and it was very good as it incorporated relaxing massage, stones, a very enjoyable scalp massage, and aromatherapy. Allison was exceptional, intuitive, and engaged (engaged – sometimes I feel the therapist is just going through the motions but this was not the case as Allison ). My wife stated her therapist Jessi was also vey good and balanced her deep tissue techniques well. Overall – Very HIGH recommendation and we look forward to enjoying some of their services in the future.”

“My wife and I are visiting Asheville and decided to give Blazing Lotus a try. We each had 120 minutes massages with Allison and Kristen and we not disappointed. They were both terrific, and we might have had the best massages of our lives, not to mention how warm and caring they and the staff are. See you next year!”

Bob S.

“Just had a couples massage with Allison and Kristen and it was phenomenal! Allison was fantastic and you can tell she is really passionate about massage, she definitely tailored the massage just to me and incorporated different styles of massage to really make the best experience for me. My wife has had many massages over the years and said Kristen was the best therapist she has worked with. Highly recommend hot stones! Thanks Allison and Kristen for a great escape!”

Darin B.

“Wonderful experience from start to finish. My wife and I both had massages here (with Allison and Kristen) and they were great. The historic house is really cute and clean, and both therapists did great massages. I highly recommend treating yourself to a massage here, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!”

Virginia W.

“ Allie has done an absolutely beautiful job creating a sweet and nurturing atmosphere for healing work and massage therapy. To watch the growth and amazing dedication to this field of work over the years from her is beautiful and moving. The practice is located in a very sweet little building off of Merrimon avenue and the decor is super zen. The staff that work there are really nice, the front desk woman is very friendly and accommodating. The therapist I worked with was receptive to my feedback and instruction if you come in with a trouble spot and sore area – and that is always appreciated! My session also included hot towels and hot stones which was really nice. Being a busy massage therapist myself taking time for self care is always a must, and what a nice place to go to to do just that! You can really feel the love in this place and I will be coming back for sure. Thanks again Allie . looking forward to scheduling with you sometime soon, when I can!”

“I came to Blazing Lotus while on my first anniversary trip with my husband. He was kind enough to book us each massages. I am about 5 months pregnant and had the Violet Package. Wow is all I can say. The prenatal massage was so lovely – start to finish. Allison was so kind and genuine – I immediately felt at home and very comfortable. It comes with a scalp massage and aromatherapy which truly helped me relax. Every single person and therapist we met at Blazing Lotus was so friendly and warm. I love the story of how this business came to be and what it represents. I will forever remember this experience and recommend them to anyone I can. My only regret is that I don’t live in Asheville. Rest assured, I’ll be back every time I visit.”

Michelle L.

“My husband and I came to the mountains for a few days and decided to get a massage. We had a great experience. My room was very calming and relaxing. Allie did my massage and she was excellent. Her communication skills are excellent and she provided the right amount of pressure and incorporated stones and essential oils to my massage. My husband has Cassidy and he said she was excellent. I can tell you this…..if we lived in the area we would be getting a massage here every 2 weeks….we look forward to next visit to the area so we can come back. Highly recommend them. Excellent and thank you both…many Cheers ✌️”

“ Allie is one of the best Massage therapists in Asheville. I have been going to her since before she got this wonderful place on Merrimon Ave.”

Alex G.

“It all started when I saw Allie for massages when she operated out of her home, but it only improved when she opened shop on Merrimon. I always book a massage with Allie on our trips to Asheville 2 or 3 times yearly. This weekend, couldn’t see Allie but my appointment with Shea was just as wonderful. Perfect pressure and great vibes throughout the whole house. Best massage in Asheville.”

“Being a man who pushes my body too much some days, it’s great to have 90 minutes of therapeutic massage from Allie . I appreciate the quiet and comfortable atmosphere of her studio. She is caring, courteous, and has a calming personality. I recommend her to my friends in Asheville.”

“Alli e has done a great job setting up her new business! It is inviting, relaxing and very professional. I was lucky enough to enjoy the services of one of her awesome associates. See you soon Allie !”

“Allie is amazing! Has helped tremendously with my lower back and leg problems, and with my wife’s shoulder! Thanks so much!”

“My wife and I went on Jan. 2nd 2016. I had Shea who gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. She was very passionate and made sure to check in here and there to see if everything was alright. She’d explain different techniques. She and Allison (who my wife had and loved) even met us downstairs afterwards and stayed to talk to us. Great people with great personalities and talent! Even the atmosphere and wood burning fireplace was awesome! Highly recommend! Will be back in the area in a few months and will definitely be back to see them!”

“During the 11 years I have lived in the Asheville area I have come to learn that like restaurants, massage therapists have to be exceptional just to survive because there are so many good ones to choose from. Allie is the best of the exceptional!”

“On my first visit to Blazing Lotus, Allie provided a level of comfort and relief from chronic neck pain that no others before her could match. Using a customized combination of techniques, Allie unlocked and relaxed every muscle she touched, leaving me in a place of complete relaxation. It has been more than a year and the pain has not yet returned. I have since become a regular, not for pain relief but to treat myself to the blissful space Allie’s skilled hands and peaceful spirit take me to each and every time!”

“I’ve been going to Allie for years. She was my masseuse before she even opened the healing house and had a studio in her home. I’ve gotten a sauna in the new place, and received many massages there. Not only by Allie , but also by other workers there. You will not be disappointed by anyone there. Another bonus is the location is close to downtown Asheville and easily within walking distance.”

“Traveled to Asheville for my yearly birthday trip and had to book a massage at Allie’s new place (I’ve been seeing her for massages for a few years now – back when she was home based). The new digs only add to the wonderful experience. Quite simply, the best massage around. I’ve been to local therapists in their homes, $200 an hour spas and everywhere in between. None of them compare to the compassionate, professional and healing massage from Allie . I’ll be back again, that’s for sure.”

“Now I have had three massages at Blazing Lotus with Allison . To call them massages is really a great injustice. Actually, as their business card suggests, they are BOUNDLESS BLESSINGS….and BEYOND even that. Master Healers may appear anywhere and you can discover her for yourself at Blazing Lotus. I hugely recommend it.”

Steve C.

“I have been traveling to Asheville for years and have a season pass at the Biltmore House. But, the best part of any trip is a visit with the fantastic staff at Blazing Lotus! They are fantastic and really embrace the art of massage. I have regular massage treatment at home and have some basis for saying Allie is the very best. The new location expands to provide full spa treatment in a very relaxed and nurturing environment. I can not wait for my next trip and will definitely return.”

“My husband and I have become regulars at Blazing Lotus and highly recommend the facility and the therapists. Allison and Karine are first class therapists and run a comfortable, clean and serene establishment. I am addicted to a 90 minute therapy. The massages are always customized to what we need that particular day with great additions such as hot stones and cupping.”

“Great massage in a gentle, peaceful atmosphere. I have had 2 massages at Allison’s talented hands and can’t wait for my third. She moved her massage practice from her home to the “Healing House” relatively recently and, with the other practitioners, now offers her clients extended services in a very comfortable but still homey environment. The new web booking tool is also a great way to select and schedule your treatments.”

“My second visit with Shea and it was even better than the first one. I took advantage of the Dec. special for a 90 minute massage. I loved her thoroughness and particularly like the stretches she included. So intuitive. Allie’s created a wonderful healing environment. Kudos to all!”

“Had a great massage with Allison . She was very professional and friendly and has a very caring approach with her clients. She is a very skilled therapist and I highly recommend her!”

“I have been to probably 15 different therapists in my life and have always been searching for the best massage and in the past have been left disappointed. I just had the best massage of my life from Allison . She was thoughtful and thorough. She added so many bonus items at no extra charge and spent extra time with me. I was truly relaxed and blissed out. I will be a regular from now on.”

“Allison and Shea couldn’t have been more warm, welcoming and professional. Both the staff and facility made you feel comfortable and appreciated while still being efficient (electronic kiosk for patient Forms)and extremely clean. The treatments we received were first rate, thorough and not cookie-cutter in their approach. Both adjusted to meet our needs and actually exceeded them. This combined with the other inclusive elements of stones, aroma and cupping therapies made for a wonderful experience that was also a great value. We will return to this gem and these beautiful ladies on future visits and certainly recommend Blazing Lotus. Thank you!”

“What an amazing retreat. I’m so lucky to have found this place while staying at Lake Lure, NC. It was well worth the drive and an experience everyone should put on their “bucket list”. Allison was so kind and accommodating while making my last minute reservations, greeting me, and solving a booking error. I felt the services were affordable and thoroughly healing. My anxiety as well as any physical and mental stress melted away with the glorious Sound Therapy Swedish Massage by Marina. The icing on the cake was Audrey’s traditional hot cupping that took me back to the healing I received in China almost 10 years ago. I’m not sure if any other spa experience will compare to this due to the caring and talented staff, quaint location, soothing house blended hot tea, and unique services. Thank you for the encouragement to care for myself, the reminder that I deserve to live in the moment and be grateful.”

“Willow and Allie were amazing. I would totally come back regularly if I lived in Asheville. My husband and I had couples massages.”

“That was a fantastic massage! Not only is Allie a warm and kind person but she is also a great practitioner. She also incorporated bio freeze, stones, and scents to make the experience fantastic. Far above anything you will get at a resort!”

“WOW!!!! I have been getting massages for over ten years now and Allie is by far the most incredible massage therapist I have ever been to! From the moment that my husband and I contacted Allie her genuine care and love for what she does could be felt. We came up from Florida to get married in NC and were looking for a couples massage while we took our honeymoon. Allie was quick to respond and work with us to create just the experience we were looking for. Her cute spot tucked away in Asheville was a complete zen zone and invited relaxation from all the senses. Allie and her co-therapist Willow were so kind and comforting, connecting with my husband and I and making us feel at home. It only got better from here, the massage was beyond any and all expectations! A combination of aromatherapy, deep tissue, and a little bit of Thai, we left completely blissed out! We only wish we lived closer so that we could get massages from Allie on a regular basis and will definitely be returning as soon as possible. I highly recommend Blazing Lotus to anyone who wants an amazing experience from a gifted and beautiful spirit! 🙂”

“Allie and Willow are amazing, went with my Father as part of a Father’s day weekend thing. Both of us attest that this is the best massage ever. They offer more services, even though I live in Colorado, next time I’ll opt in for Some Thai Yoga!”

“I was in Asheville recently for a weekend of hiking and came across Allie on a different site. Glad I made the decision to contact her! The session was amazing and one of the best massages I’ve had! Little did I know the session would not only include aromatherapy, but also hot stones, cupping, stretching and a heated table! Allie is a truly gifted healer and cares deeply about the overall person and their well-being! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you’d be hard-pressed to find a massage therapist who offers so much of herself, her gifts and talents at this value! An amazing session! I’m already looking forward to my next trip back to Asheville and visit to Allie!”

“My wife and I stopped by for a couples massage and I have to say it was the best massage experience we have ever had. From the moment we drove up we felt totally at ease. After a quick hot tub soak Allie and Willow got to work and we LOVED the massage. I think they incorporated every style of massage I know of and they did it VERY well. We were SO relaxed and after it was over there was none of that “pay up and leave” stuff going on, we all sat down and talked about all kinds of things. If you are in Asheville and want a really good massage for a great price give Allie a try! My only complaint is we don’t live in Asheville so we can’t go back often! You can bet if we are back in town we will give Allie a call!!!”

“This is the best place to get a massage. Top quality, wide variety of services including reflexology, hot stones, cupping and aroma therapy, all at a great price. I was in town on vacation and found Blazing Lotus on Yelp. Allie and her coworker Willow are wonderful people and top notch professionals.”

“While vacationing in Asheville, we chose to visit Blazing Lotus for a 90 minute couples massage. We were their first couples massage in their new location, which was a beautiful old house and easy to find. We were greeted by Allie and Shea, who took time to talk us about what we were looking for in our experience. The massage room has a very peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, and the whole house was beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the deluxe enhancements to our massages, including aromatherapy, dry brushing, cupping, and hot stones massage. We felt that both Allie and Shea were very thorough, knowledgeable, and experienced with their craft, and we left the experience feeling thoroughly relaxed. We would highly recommend Blazing Lotus to anyone looking for a great massage experience, in a peaceful environment, for a great value. Thank you for a great experience!”

“I went to Allie for a massage before she acquired the beautiful space that is now the healing house. She is one of the most talented people practicing massage in my humble opinion. I recently returned to the healing house for a sauna which is one of the most inviting places to go to for the plethora of services they offer. Huge open spaces greet you as you walk in from the private parking. Allie and staff have a very down to earth vibe without to sacrificing the professionalism or knowledge you seek at these places. I hear and have witnessed the stand off experience coming from other providers in this field but trust me this is not that. You won’t feel overwhelmed or not welcome here, and you will most certainly leave feeling more rejuvenated than when you arrived. Great place. Will return.”

“I have been in the landscaping business for years and the repeated labor has done a number on my body. Over the past few years I have tried several different massage therapists and chiropractors but none have come close to providing me the comfort and relief that Allie has accomplished. Her comprehensive approach at massage – a combination of Esalen, Lomi-Lomi, and Thai techniques accompanied by aromatherapy, hot stones, acupressure, cranial sacral and reflexology – reaches all the deep aches and locked muscles leaving me in a place of complete relaxation. I have paid much more for similar massages at high-end spas and they don’t hold a candle to the work you will get done at Blazing Lotus. I highly recommend trying Allie for your next massage – you will not be disappointed!”

“I travel a lot. After driving, my back and shoulders hurt. I have found Nirvana! Allie is by far one of the best professional massage therapists i have ever found! The spa is named in memory of her daughter. 1. She is kind and gentle in personality. Her peace pervades her massage so you leave at peace. She unwinds the mind, body and spirit. 2. She has the ability to remove the sore muscle and transform it to new before she replaces it. The “Lomi-Lomi” is magic. 3, She charges reasonable rates unlike the exorbitant rates of the other spas in town. Her web site shows packages. 4. She offers wraps etc which i have not yet used, She also has a shower to wash the oil off afterwards. 5. If you want the pools of Grove Park, this is not for you. But, if you want the best massage of your life at prices you can afford – this is the place!”

“I have had the great fortune of receiving a massage from Allison and an acupuncture treatment from Ella at the Blazing Lotus Healing House. Allison’s work was incredibly nurturing, intuitive, and healing. I walked out feeling super relaxed, opened, and happy. Ella’s treatment was also amazing. I immediately felt the movement and change in my body and energy system based on the points she chose. Ella is very knowledgeable in her field. I highly recommend checking them out!”

“Blazing Lotus is the best spa that I’ve ever been to. I’ve had a massage by Allie. And she is great at massages. It was very relaxing and healing. Her space is always so beautiful. I’d love to see her new spa. And I will make it there soon.”

“Truly first rate! Expect complete bliss and happiness in this extraordinary healing house! I had thrown out my neck the day before and needed relief. I knew that the condition was attributed to overly tight muscles in the shoulder area and so I sought a massage specialist over a chiropractor. Due to time constraints, I had time for only a 30-minute massage but let me tell you….it was just what my neck, shoulder and upper back needed! In this short period of time, I experienced aromatherapy, cupping, hot stones, hot towels, percussive treatment and the ultimate in relaxation from Allie , the proprietor of Blazing Lotus. The inviting decor complemented the serene atmosphere. In my opinion, interior decorating could have been Allie’s unique calling but she is also truly blessed with healing hands. Within five minutes, I could tell that Allie put her heart into her work much like an artist will paint with his or her heart. What a gem of a place! There is also parking in the lot behind the building. I also appreciated that the location (north Asheville bordering on downtown but without the frenetic parking situation that is found downtown) was so accessible. I’m so happy that I found Blazing Lotus. I shall return!!!”

“I had my first massage with Allie and it was the best one I’ve ever had. I have paid for massages at many salons and resorts, including Grove Park, and this one was by far, the best I’ve ever had. Allie knew exactly how to use different techniques to achieve the desired goal of relaxation and loosening up tight muscles. I recommend her to everyone. It was an amazing experience.”

“I had never had a massage prior to meeting Allison so I was a little nervous to say the least. Not knowing what to expect I went and was very pleased with the entire experience. Very professional, very talented, very helpful, very kind, and very skilled. I would recommend Blazing Lotus for anyone. Thanks Blazing Lotus!”

“Cozy little private massage studio. We had the couples massage and both enjoyed our therapist Allie and Willow. They both really love what they do. Allie was my therapist and did a fantastic custom mix massage incorporating many different techniques. Perfect price for us and away from fancy spas settings.”

“Allie is a great massage therapist! She is present and attentive for the duration of the massage. Her therapy is very well paced and it flows smoothly. I received the mixed massage (Swedish mixed with deep tissue) and it was one of the best ones I have ever had. I particularly enjoyed the use of hot stones, aromatherapy, and Thai yoga stretches. Allie is an incredible therapist: kind, attentive, present. The prices are very reasonable for the great massage you’ll receive!”

“I had my first of many appointments with Allie yesterday afternoon. The experience was wonderful. I liked the homey feel of the environment it, was very comfortable and calming. I’ve had massages at other places that were enjoyable and relaxing but I really felt like I was really being pampered and taken care of. Thanks so much Allie . See you soon.”

Shelly F.

“Allie is such a kind and caring person as well as the best massage therapist that I have ever been to. A lot of professionals claim that they love what they do (not just speaking of massage), but Allie is the first one that I have met that it truly shows through. She is a true master of her art.”

“My daughter and I went together for her 18th birthday. This was a first time experience for both of us. We absolutely enjoyed the experience. Allie and her colleague Willow are very heart felt people who show true love and compassion for their work. From the time you arrive to the time you get up and leave they are making you feel at home, and also treat you like a friend they have known for years. I honestly would recommend them to all of my family and friends. My daughter and I look forward to many more appointments.”

“My doc recommended a massage for relief from shoulder and neck pain. After a single trip, my pain diminished and within a couple days I was back to normal. I have no doubt that Allison’s massage put me on the road to recovery.”

“I have had many “spa” treatments in many locations. Allison and her staff are fabulous. Very caring, Sensitive to your needs and genuinely concerned that you benefit from their services. Sommer is an amazing intuitive therapist . Shea is expert at Thai.”

“I’ve seen Allie numerous times and saw Shea this weekend. Both are absolutely the best massage therapists around. I come to Asheville 2 or 3 times a year and I always book a relaxing massage at Blazing Lotus. You will simply not find a better massage.”

“I went here for the first time since moving to Asheville and I definitely found my go to massage therapist. It’s a very inviting home studio that has a way better vibe than the chain spots you can get oversold at. Allie is a phenomenal human being that places you at ease from the start. With a horrible spine surgery I have had many massages from many different places around the country, but the one I received from Allie was the best one I’ve had so far. She is ridiculously skilled and you can tell through the massage. Hopped in the sauna afterwards which topped off my day, and soon to be routine of healing. I’d recommend her to anyone. She never asked me to write a review either. This is purely thanks for finding an amazing massage therapist/person and hopefully helping to spread the good word.”

“Everyone that works here is so sweet! This was only my 3rd massage of my life and they made me feel so comfortable. I had a problem with my shoulder and she worked on that area. The next day I wasn’t feeling the pain and numbness I was before! It was like massage Magic!!! The owners Allie & Joe are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever come across and I highly recommend this place!”

“My wife and I both go to Blazing Lotus. My therapist, Allison , was excellent. I have a bad lower back and she did a number of stretches before I had to get off the table. Usually it hurts to get down off the table after laying for so long. Not so this time. Recommended.”

“There aren’t enough stars to give to this experience. I’ve had a lot of massages over the years, but this was the best by far. Allie has a depth and intuition that is hard to find. I was struggling with some back and neck issues due to travel and CrossFit and needed some relief. We talked about what was going on, and I just let her go to work. Everything was perfect. Allie was completely into the session, was responsive and attentive to my needs. The integration of hot stones and aromatherapy (new to me) really added to the experience. On top of all that, its a really cool facility. I can’t say enough good things. If I find myself back in Asheville, I’ll be booking time at the Blazing Lotus!”

Tim N.

“Allie is a true professional. She takes time to get to know you and what you seek. Her massage therapy skills are excellent. I love the aroma therapy! (You can create your own sequence of aromas if you make an appointment via her website.) I highly recommend Blazing Lotus.”

“Allie is a truly exceptional therapist. Every massage is different and always seems better than the last! Her outstanding professional skills combined with her great attitude and enthusiasm will make you want to see her again and again, as I do! Better hurry up and make an appointment fast because she is one of those rare therapists who won’t need to solicit new business for very long!”

“Allie , Thank you so much for everything you do. You are truly gifted at making people feel relaxed. If I’m sore or tense, you seem to know exactly what to do. I love your passion as a healer!”

“After being a client of many, many massage therapists over the years, I have been a devoted and consistent client of Allie’s for many months now, and i can safely say that she is one of the best, most sensitive, and amazing therapists I have ever been blessed with. Thank you, Allie , and keep up the amazing work!”

“I have had many massages over the years. None have come anywhere close to Allie’s work. Allie , you provide caring massage in a wonderful setting. Thank you Allie !”

“Allie is an amazing therapist and a wonderful friend. Her sessions are started with a friendly catch-up as we discuss whats going on in our lives, and also talk about any physical issues that may be of concern. Then the massage is started with amazing essential oils which help to relax as I feel the stress disappear. During the massage she knows just how much pressure to put in each spot without me telling her… a little less for those spots that are tender, and a little rougher where I can handle it. Her method of intuitive massage is fantastic and highly recommended. Bless you Allie . See you soon!”

Allie ! I love your website. As most things that I have seen and learned from you, its beautiful! I hope I am in Asheville sooner than later to receive a treatment from you! By the way, I love the name of your business. You have turned that experience in your life into something so wonderful. Keep on trucking girl! I love you!!! Love and Blessings.

Courtney

“WOW! What can I say? Having never been privileged to a 4 hand massage before I really didn’t know what to expect. Allie and Willow made me feel at home from the second I walked in the door, like an old friend. They worked together so well I was in heaven for an entire hour and a half. It was the most casual atmosphere during a massage I have ever been in. I have had massages all over the country and in many parts of the world…..They are right up there with the best! So if you want a great massage go see them….tell them their old friend Mark sent you. Allie and Willow…I will be back to see you again!”

“Allie’s a great massage therapist, but what makes me try to get in to see her once a month is her authentic, loving nature. From the moment I walk in to the moment I leave, I feel special, appreciated, nurtured and connected both to her and to the best parts of myself. She’s sweet, intelligent, open-hearted and real, a combination which is impossible to fake and very difficult in my opinion to find anywhere, much less in a professional service provider.”

“Allie is an Angel! I’ve seen her several times for a massage and each session is better than the previous one. She’s caring, professional and genuinely concerned for my well-being. Her massages are excellent and she consistently inquires about the pressure and adjusts it to my comfort level. Thanks Allie . . .You are WONDERFUL!”

“My husband and I both love a good massage and over the years we have experienced many different types of massages in many diverse locations. We’ve had them on a beach in the shade of swaying palms serenaded by the sound of crashing waves, in the privacy and quiet of our vacation home and in beautiful, although over-priced, world-class spas. We tend to like different things in a massage. He likes the basics, deep tissue and Swedish, while I prefer aroma-therapy and spa treatments. Allie was able to satisfy us both. I enjoyed a 4 hands massage with peppermint towels, sugar scrub, facial and body-wrap. My husband opted for just the 4 handed massage, which was a new experience for us both. We conquer with everyone else… Allie is thoughtful, intuitive and very good at what she does. We will be visiting her again soon and wishing her LUCK, PROSPERITY, and GREAT HAPPINESS!!!”

“I have had a lot of massages and spa treatments in Asheville and none even come close to Allie’s Services. I had the a full spa experience and I feel more relaxed than I have in years. Allie and Willow both are very good at what they do because they really care about you and want to help you feel better in your every day life. Thank you both so much. MUCH LOVE AND HAPPINESS!!!”

“I had a great massage by Allie for my birthday — but not ON my birthday. It was majickal the way I was surrounded by beauty on that day… not only was I relaxed, but I seemed to be radiating love, and other people could tell…”

“I have had professional spa treatments and massages in places that extend from Indonesia, Thailand, and parts of South America and based on those experiences, I can honestly say that Allie knows exactly what she is doing. Not only does she make you feel totally relaxed when you come in to see her, but she can provide just about any kind of treatment based on what you want. My most recent treatments included the Hot/Cold Moonstone Facial, which felt great and gave my skin a nice glow. I also got the Body Scrub and Wrap, which also felt amazing and made my skin very soft. I loved it and would definitely get both treatments again. Not only are Allie’s healing services stellar, but she is truly an amazing person!!”

Colleen J.

“Allie you are such a beautiful person inside and out~! I love the website and I’m sure you are doing wonderfully <3 Everyone please take time to enjoy one of Allie’s exceptional massages she really does great work~! Allie, I really hope I can get up to Asheville soon to come see you and to make an appointment~ Much Love to all!”

“I feel blessed that my first massage experience was with Allie. I will admit I was a bit apprehensive beforehand, I wasn’t quite sure that I would enjoy having a stranger rub my body. Before the massage began, we sat and chatted for a few minutes and due to Allie’s warmth and kindness, she was no longer a stranger. The moment you step foot into the massage room, the relaxation begins-it looks, smells, sounds and feels wonderful. The massage itself was amazing, Allie’s hands are magic. After the massage, I enjoyed an exfoliating body scrub and then a fabulous warm shower and the cherry on the cake, a warm towel!!! An absolutely wonderful experience-thank you Allie !”

“I came to the area from Ohio for some R&R and to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and everyday life stressors. I was heading to the mountains near Bryson City and decided that massage would be a great way to start my time off as it was on my way to the cabin. I found Allie’s advertisement and decided to give her a call in order to get massage therapy while I was in the area. Well, I ended up going to her her twice in the 4 days I was there. It was well worth it and I’d highly recommend her. I have had professional massage for many years now. Many places have quotas to make or you feel as if you need to get in on time and out on time. You never truly have the chance to relax while you are there. You will not find that with Allie . She ensures that you have a “total” massage experience. From the time you walk in the door Allie makes you feel very welcome as well as relaxed. She has a very positive and caring personality, is very intelligent, and takes her time getting to know you and what your needs are. She explains everything that she is doing as well as anything she uses in the process and makes sure the massage pressure is just right. I believe she truly enjoys what she does and it comes through in her attitude, massage services as well as the results you get. Thanks Again Allie !”

“Allie is a very accomplished massage therapist. I had my first appointment today and came away feeling so relaxed and stress free. I felt like we were old friends. She has a very special gift and caring spirit. My individual needs were recognized and addressed sensitively and professionally. By far the best massage I have ever had. Thank you Allie . 🙂”

“Absolutely the best massage I have ever had. Allie has a wonderful personality to go with her healing hands. She has a real gift and even more so she cares and it shows through in her work. Most relaxed i have been in months. Thanks Allie .”

“I just started getting massages from Allie a couple of months ago and she is truly one of the most amazing therapists I have seen (and I have been to hundreds!). She is so in touch with where my body needs the most work, the right amount of pressure and literally heals the pain away every time. She a beautiful person who is professional, intuitive, compassionate and loves what she does.”

“I was able to get a massage from Allie a couple of weeks ago. Allie was amazing!!!! I felt like I had known Allie forever. She is a very sweet and beautiful person, who seemed to really care about me as an individual. I can’t wait to go back and experience her touch once more. I felt so free and comfortable. Thanks Allie .”

“One day, years past, I found myself snuggled down and holding tightly to a lamp post on the Pier in Uig at Isle of Skye, Scotland; waiting for the ferry to the Outer Hebrides, the clouds had come down and the waves came up with winds gusting to 80 mph. Beaten down, I made little snubbed assaults against the wind – lamp post to lamp post – somewhere in between sensing that I might make a better day for myself by taking refuge in the interior peaks and rolling terrain of the Quiraing (can Google for images) rather than be buffeted into the frigid sea. The Quiraing is a mystifying place, and even seemed to channel the winds to some sense of resonant soothing stability. There I was able to find a relaxing spot, laying flat on a pinnacle of rock softly strewn with golden lichens and rich mosses where my mind floated with ease and pleasant vertigo as I searched for a horizon, to find myself comfortably nestled between the protective escarpments and cradled by the contours of the land flowing about me, uplifting me beyond the winds of the morning. So it is with Allie’s massage. I had a sense that my body and mind could use some relaxing down time. She provided this, and the caring energy she radiates in the process kept me feeling rejuvenated well after the session ended – felt like I floated home. Would like to see her again.”

“People, listen to me! It is not often that I take the time to gush about someone, but Allie is the absolute best message therapist I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I am a deep tissue massage seeker, and finding someone who gives their all to make you feel better is a rare find. Allie may be fairly new to the business, but she has great techniques, (Some are quite original) and is intent on connecting with you. I look forward to giving a lot of money to Allie in the future. How can you go wrong with the Blazing Lotus????”

“I travel a lot and have been searching for a great massage in the Asheville area without the sterility of a spa. (The Grove Park is great, but who can afford it and the massages are from new kids). Found Allie’s ad and liked the reviews. Let me tell you, they are all wrong. They do not begin to describe how great she is. A very NEAT person who is fun to talk with. As stated above, she starts off the massage sitting on the couch and talking with you – finding out how you are and what is hurting. Then the magic begins. Tranquility heaven. Thanks Allie.”

“Allie has helped me balance and deepen my health and spiritual presence. She is tuned in and present to each moment with awareness and loving kindness. Allie brings humor and heart to her work as well as great anatomical skill, she truly touches you from the heart. You will leave each session with peace and balance in mind, body and spirit.”

“I have to tell everyone that gets on the testimonials page that I had the best massage ever with Allie . Not only with Allie , but with Willow as well. If y’all have never had a 4 handed massage, it is absolutely heaven. If you make it an hour and a half it is even better. Allie’s place is warm, inviting and very relaxing from the moment you walk in. It is that way, because that is Allie in a nutshell. I guarantee you will fully enjoy your experience here and walk away feeling wonderful and relaxed. I know I did. Made me feel like a KING!!!”

“I’m feeling wonderful and so rejuvenated from my massage! Your skills and incredible energy are a perfect combination in providing the healing benefits that are so essential in a massage. You have a gift, my dear, and I feel so blessed to have found you – Thank you, Allie !”

Hey Allie …Just wanted to let you know how good I feel after your massage. Feels like I’m lighter on my feet. Excited to see you soon!

Melissa

“I was injured in Baghdad in 2005. I was 7 feet away from a car bomb blast. I have had several surgeries and countless trips to back specialist. I have tried every treatment suggested. After Allie finished giving me a deep tissue massage was the first time in 6 years I could remember that my neck didn’t hurt. I had recovered much of the movement that had been restricted. I told Allie that I didn’t know what to expect because I had never had a message. She was patient and totally professional. Allie really cares and that showed in almost all aspects of my visit. I live about 2 hours away but I will be sure to make an appointment every time I visit Asheville. I can’t say enough good things. You’ll have to visit yourself to experience it.”

“Experience was unbelievable!!! Thank you again for working me in. I will have to try and find a reason to get back to Asheville soon. I actually think the stretching helped a lot, and my back feels the best it has in months. Thank you so much for an amazing massage today, Allie ! It’s the best I have ever had and will definitely be coming back! 😀”

“I have experienced massage form all over the world and thought I had received some of the best available. However, I did not know the best massage that I would ever get would be in my own backyard with Allie . She is an incredible human being with a true healing spirit.”

“We had the privilege of having our first massage from Allie and Willow for our 7th anniversary. The atmosphere was inviting and the company was great. My wife and myself never having a massage, Allie and Willow made Kat’s and my experience one to remember. Being a business owner myself, I know that a memorable experience is not always as much the purpose for being there as it is the people and attitude of those that are providing the services. My wife and I are very pleased with the level of professionalism, care, and ability to ease tension of first time worries and tense muscles. We thank the BOTH of you for having us and giving us a memory to take with us for our lives…..and we WILL be back!”

“First let me start off by saying what a truly kind, sweet & caring person Allie is. To be honest I wasn’t really sure what to expect my first visit but let me tell you Allie made me feel very welcomed, comfortable and right at home. It’s hard to put into words how extraordinary & amazing Allie’s massage’s are!! But let me tell you that after my first visit I felt incredibly relaxed, lighter on my feet, rejuvenated and energized. Allie is a very professional & extremely gifted therapist and healer! The Blazing Lotus studio is lovely and very comfortable its first class all the way! I highly recommend that you make an appointment & do yourself a favor and treat yourself to one of Allie’s incredible massages or spa services you will not be disappointed! Thank you Allie for being such a wonderful and lovely person you’re truly blessed with a great gift! Best wishes and much love!!”

“As a personal trainer and physique competitor, I know what muscle soreness is. Of all the massage therapists that I’ve ever visited, Allie is THE best! She’s one of the most kind, caring, and competent professionals I’ve ever met. The deep tissue/sports massage which I received from her was second to none. I highly recommend Allie !”

“Allie is such a kind and caring person as well as the best massage therapist that I have ever been to. A lot of professionals claim that they love what they do (not just speaking of massage), but Allie is the first one that I have met that it truly shows through. She is a true master of her art.”

“I always get the blended service and Allie is THE BEST THERAPIST I have have ever been too. I leave her studio feeling like a new man. She always makes me feel comfortable and is great to talk to also. You don’t know what your missing unless you try her.”

“Allie’s one of our best assets in Asheville, and it’s her high energy that keeps things happy even in the minds of the people she doesn’t know… 😉”

“Thank you Allie , for a wonderful massage experience. You have a healing and very gifted touch. I look forward to scheduling another appointment soon. Again, many thanks. Glad to have found you. Still glowing.”

Jordan C.

“I had my first ashiatsu massage experience today with Candis . SO LOVELY! I love a massage in general but I have never experienced this style. Really nice pressure, thorough coverage of the body, clean and comfortable environment. I will definitely be back.”

Lacey C.

“Whoa… I’m mean WOW!! Thank you. Candis Lee for, Hands down the best massage of my life!!! And such lovely reception!! I cannot recommend this place enough. The Ashiatsu massage is MAGIC!!!”

Seth W.

“I found Wild Rose Healing House because it was close to where I was staying for vacation and booked the Orchid Package. The house itself smells lovely when you walk in and the staff are very warm and professional. Candis was my therapist. She was a great listener – attentive, engaged, and encouraged a relaxed yet professional atmosphere the full 90 minutes of my session. The massage was so good I fell asleep for a few minutes in the middle and had to re-orient myself at the end! It was also a very affordable price for such a high quality experience. I hope to come back the next time I visit Asheville!”

Brett W.

“I had a wonderful massage with Candis ! She tailored the massage to my needs. The atmosphere was calming and beautiful! I loved the hot tea at the end of my session! I will plan my next massage soon!”

“My husband and I had a 90 minute couples massage. My therapist was Lauren and his therapist was Candis. My massage was amazing! We give both therapists and Wild Rose Healing House 5 stars.”

I grew up in Michigan where I earned a BA in Philosophy. The travel bug bit me and I made my way down to South America where I lived for 4 years. While there I worked on social projects in the communities, along with seeking adventure! When I came back to the US I worked in wilderness therapy for at-risk youth. I discovered yoga while living in Argentina, which led me to a serious meditation practice. Working in the wilderness got me more interested in shamanism, and I have studied that tradition for 5 years. My active life led to my shoulders becoming increasingly injured. I saw a physical therapist, but didn’t finally get the full use of my shoulders back until I went to massage school. I graduated from the Therapeutic Massage program at Mayland Community College in 2015. I was astonished at how much massage was able to do for me that neither yoga, nor physical therapy had been able to accomplish in 4 years! I completed a Reiki 2 course, and continue to be interested by how trauma, stress, and energy can get lodged in peoples’ muscles and posture. My starting point for massage is the relaxing Swedish techniques. But I also love doing deep tissue work, and like doing detailed work around an injury or trouble area, if that’s what people want. I use combinations of relaxing strokes, and trigger point release, as well as myofascial release. I like using some Trager techniques to release and relax muscles, and Shiatsu to invite in altered states of consciousness and profound relaxation. I look forward to working with you.

My Reviews

“My hubby and I had a relaxing, healing 30 minutes neck and back couples massage with TJ and Chelsea. We loved the soothing, beautifully decorated private room with heated massage beds and felt totally refreshed when we left. After the session, when we dressed to leave, we were greeted at the door with glasses of water and instructed to drink up so the lactic acids could be flushed out. Every need was attended to with the finest of detail. We highly recommend Wild Rose and will definitely be back!”

Denise H.

“My wife and I just had the best massages we have ever had with TJ and Sierra. And we have made many many massages all over the world. Thank you!”

Michael R.

“Wild Rose Healing House is a very relaxing place to visit. I started at the Blazing Lotus then moved here when I told it was opening. TJ is the therapist I started with in 2020 when I first hurt my shoulder and he has done wonders as it heals. But I’ve had other areas that need attention too and he is skilled with multiple techniques to loosen up the tight muscles. I’ve tried other therapists elsewhere but cannot get the same results so I drive four hours to the Wild Rose House.”

Rebecca M.

“Absolutely amazing me and my best friend did a couple massage & Micheal and TJ were very professional and great. It was my first one so I was nervous and it was a great experience….would highly recommend this place & will be returning soon. 5 star service!”

Lynn M.

“Wonderful spa treatment today with TJ . Highly recommend!!”

Kimberly Y.

“ TJ was awesome! Best massage ever! Tea was great, clean, peaceful, and welcoming environment. Highly recommend.”

Becca U.

“I had a combination deep tissue for a troublesome shoulder and Swedish for general relaxation with TJ . One of the best massages I’ve ever had! Customer service was also very helpful with scheduling and both Wild Rose and Blazing Lotus are in lovely old Asheville homes that have been restored. The experience was exceptional.”

Paula K.

“I was visiting Asheville and was searching for a much needed massage amongst the multitude of practitioners. I scheduled with T.J. Grant. This was the BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE and I am considering relocating to the area just so I can see him again! Kidding of course! But, if you have tight neck, shoulders and/or hips definitely let him know. The trigger point work was so helpful. I slept a solid 8 hours that night for the first time since my cancer treatment and COVID. The staff, atmosphere and COVID precautions made me feel quite comfortable and safe. He also gave me extra recommendations for self treatment that have also been beneficial. Splurge for the 90 minutes. You’re worth it!”

J Mak

“I had the literal best massage of my life at Wild Rose. My friend and I both got 90-minute Integrative massages and both of us left absolutely blown away by the level of massage we received. My friend had Jessi and I had T.J. Both of them were amazing! T.J. was able to work muscles I’d never had worked before and left me feeling infinitely better than when I arrived. They both were obviously very skilled and knowledgeable as they were able to give both of us information on where we held our tightness and how to ease those areas in our day-to-day lives. Most massage therapists I’ve had in the past haven’t been able to make much of a difference even with good amounts of pressure. T.J. and Jessi both spent their time working tight areas and listening to what our bodies needed. Additionally, the location and space of Wild Rose is beautiful and their front desk employee was super friendly and welcoming. I only wish I lived in Asheville so I could go back all the time! I will definitely be prioritizing a return to Asheville and Wild Rose specifically for another one of their massages!”

Bellisant C.

“I’ve had many massages as I work in the spa industry, but TJ at Wild Rose is phenomenal. He is very professional and genuinely cares for his clients wellness. He combines tension points and some Thai stretching into his massages. Cute little spot and they are very clean.”

Yunanda W.

“I had the best massage I’ve ever had here! Ask for TJ !”

Chelsea

“Everything that we experienced from start to finish lived up to the reputation and reviews. We really enjoyed being inside such a gorgeous historical house near downtown Asheville. TJ is a solid healer / body worker. I can tell he’s had years of experience. Davida was also very skilled and sought to release my tensions with intuitive hands. I think these guys even make their own tea blends which is a great little touch. The Healing Houses is where it’s at folks!”

Leham P.

“The Wild Rose Healing House is a sister healing house of Blazing Lotus. In opened in 2020 and the therapists seem to work at both locations. It also has a sauna. Wild Rose Healing House has done a great job with the Covid protocols. Your temperature is taken when you arrive. Masks are worn by the staff and clients. Masks are provided if you do not have your own. The treatment room has an air filter. I’ve been to Wild Rose twice and have seen TJ both times. His services have helped my shoulder recover from multiple injuries over the past year. He has the knowledge to figure out what is tight or needs attention. Aromatherapy, hot stones and hot towels are part of the treatment. Appointments are easy to book online. You select which therapist you want (you can read about their specialties) and the massage you want and the time that works for you. Street parking is available across the street from Wild Rose. I will keep making the four hour drive to go to Wild Rose Healing House.”

Rebecca M.

“TJ is a master at his craft. I came in with a lot of shoulder issues and left with not only a recovery plan, but no pain at all. Wild Rose is a gem of an establishment. I will be back!”

Joe S.

“I experienced a sudden injury in my lower back this week. I received a massage the very next day at Wild Rose Healing House. TJ was highly effective restoring my full range of motion and eliminating my pain. Also appreciating the deep sleep and emotional lift that followed. So grateful for the high skill level and attention to detail from TJ and all the therapists I’ve experienced at Blazing Lotus and Wild Rose Healing Houses (11 so far).”

Leslie R.

“Just completed a couples massage. Best massage ever! Shelby and TJ were absolutely fabulous. Super sad we don’t have a place like this at home. If you’re in Asheville and need some R&R this is the place for you. They are super clean and make sure all guests are safe from Covid. They provided us a free gift from a basket when we checked out.”

Cecily M.

“Wow!! What an amazing experience we had with our massages!! It was not feel good fluff (although it felt amazing)… it was a real healing time. You could tell both TJ and Suki wanted you to leave feeling well… and we did! I would highly recommend anyone investing yourself with this wonderful place… a true gem in the mountains of WNC!”

Nancy R.

“My husband and I came to Asheville for our anniversary. We booked 90 minute massages – orchid and rose. We’ve had treatments at resorts (including Grove Park Inn), cruise ships, etc… We both had a fantastic experience! Paige and TJ are very talented! My husband and I both said we felt like we had a “real massage” for once. Highly recommend!!!”

Karen S.

“Our couples massage was amazing! TJ and Kristen both did a great job! My husband and I had drove in from Tennessee, and it was so nice to relax and let all the stress go!”

Nlowe14

“Great experience! I had massage, scalp treatment, and cupping. Firstly, they were very good at meeting the expected measures for protection during COVID-19. The place is very neat, clean, and calming. The staff were all very friendly and warm. TJ was my masseuse, and he was great. TJ has a very kind and gentle demeanor. He was very attentive to my specific needs, and made me feel comfortable. He checked with me regularly during the treatment to make sure my pressure was right. He did a great job focusing on my problem areas, and even gave me tips before leaving on postural changes and ways to minimize my specific problems in the future. I 100% recommend Blazing Lotus and TJ !”

Bethany B.

Awesome massage! TJ was great. Aromatherapy is a great touch but what I enjoyed most was the hot stones and cupping. I’ll definitely be back!

Aubrey O.

“Just had a couples massage , TJ and Kristen did MIND BLOWING WORK!!!! I recommend this place to anyone that needs some relaxation and/or body work done. We will def come back next time we are in town.”

Ashley D.

“We’re from Chicago and were looking for the best Massage Therapy center in Asheville. We wanted real body work, not over priced fluff and spa tricks “which Asheville is full of”. We had heard about TJ at Blazing Lotus through a friend so we booked with Blazing Lotus. “Everyone” and “everything” about our time there was hands down the best we’ve ever experienced. Valerie was my husband’s therapist and is equally talented. It is in our hope that other people will be able to experience real body work because most “just like us” don’t know what that is until you get it. We will be back and will continue to spread the word. Please open a location in Chicago!”

Sarah J.

“In town for out 28th wedding anniversary! Decided we would get a couple massage and we both had the best massage ever! T.J. and Amy did an amazing job! Thanks guys!!!”

Angie G.

“I had a really excellent massage this week by TJ Grant . The Healing House is a wonderfully relaxing environment and TJ is a really great therapist. I definitely recommend “The Gentleman’s Journey” which is a 90 minute Deep Tissue Massage with assisted stretching, hot towels, cupping, hot stones, and aromatherapy.”

Grahame C.

“The best massage I’ve ever had! Kind of a blend of deep tissue and swedish (as my therapist asked questions ahead of time as to what I wanted/needed)….in the perfect zen like surrounding. My girlfriends and I were enjoying a weekend in Asheville and easily booked online ahead of time. My therapist was TJ – he was perfectly communicative and comfortable. Since I work in Asheville fairly regularly, I’ll be back!”

Stacey F.

“Fantastic! TJ and Val treated my fiancée and I to a couples massage, and it was easily the most relaxing and productive massage I’ve ever had. TJ was able to alleviate some pressure in my lower back, and find the right balance of pressure on my Rugby injury-riddled body. My fiancée loved Val’s massage as well, she came out of the session refreshed and feeling extremely relaxed. I highly recommend this place.”

Corey L.

“Today T.J. was my massage therapist. Awesome!!! Cannot day enough good things about the massage and the entire experience. Simply grand.”

Eric H.

“Rejuvenation. Moved to Asheville last week, and between the truck loading and long drive aggravated my hip to the point of it impacting walking etc..I am a nurse who feels that massage is an important part of maintaining wellness, and am cautious about booking massage with just anyone. Based on reviews..booked an integrative massage with TJ. From the moment you step through the door you feel the relaxing and healing atmosphere.. TJ listened to my issues and proceeded to work on my hip using different techniques as well as Swedish massage for the rest of my battered body. By the end of the session I had much improved range of motion and by the end of the day my hip issue was barely noticeable. He gave me exercises to try at home and I will return next week for another session. I highly recommend TJ and Blazing Lotus for therapeutic massage.”

Candace A.

“This is by far the best place I’ve ever been to get a massage. After three visits, I cannot recommend Blazing Lotus highly enough. From the minute you walk in, everyone is welcoming and friendly; it is a strikingly peaceful environment, very calming. I’ve had sessions with Daniel and T.J. , and both were excellent; T.J. has worked wonders with my “frozen shoulder” issue. I have definitely become a long-term customer.

Dean F.

“Entire body renewal. Booked and had “The Lotus Package” with T.J. This was probably the best 2 hours of my life in many many many months. My shoulder has no pain for the first time in 2 1/2 months! Thank you!”

Raymond H.

“This was completely fantastic in every way. T.J. was very attentive and thorough with each part of the massage. I am very glad I booked the Lotus Package!”

Shannon H.

“Booked based on the great Google reviews and oh my goodness were they right! Everything was absolutely perfect! We did the premium couples massage, 90 minutes. Best couples massage we’ve ever had. The hot stones and hot towels were the perfect temperature. The therapists ( TJ & Paige) were quiet and respectful but understood exactly how much pressure, focus areas, etc we needed. After the session they spent a few minutes going over what they noticed about our bodies and gave tips on posture to help with problem areas. Ambient air temp was perfect. Music volume was perfect. All the little things I’ve had issues with other spas in the past were not issues here! Couldn’t recommend enough.”

Jacob M.

“Amazing! TJ uses various techniques that helped me to relax and relieve tension. Thank you, can’t wait to go back!”

Mary C.

“I have had many massages, but never one that was therapy for my body. TJ took the time to find out what my body needed to feel better!. My daughter had her first massage ever with Micah. He made her feel very comfortable and helped her with sore spots from too many sports. Myan the receptionist is a doll. She truly believes in everyone that works at Lotus, and is patient with new customers. The house is cozy, clean and inviting. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful day. Hugs”

Ciaran L.

“GREAT BIG SHOUT OUT TO TJ f or the best message ever! I work as a nurse so lots of bending, standing, pulling and pushing on patients. My back was killing me everyday!! TJ worked wonders and helped my back so much, he showed me stretches to really help. I’ve never had a message to do so much for my inner and outer body, this really is a healing house!!”

Denise C.

“We had an amazing experience and massage at the Blazing Lotus Healing House. The receptionist was very friendly and so helpful. She made us feel very at home and welcome. TJ gave me a wonderful massage. I cannot wait to go back again!”

Melissa E.

“ TJ was incredibly helpful. Not only did my 30 minute head/neck/shoulder massage help relieve the horrible pain of the knots I went in with in my right shoulder and neck, but he also gave me advice about how to do self-care if/when I found I couldn’t return for a follow up treatment. My shoulder feels SO MUCH BETTER — and he was so knowledgeable. Also, the staff was kind, accommodating, generous and helpful. Will definitely recommend and return!”

Susanna C.

“After a brew filled vacation in the beautiful city of Asheville, I wanted to ensure my 30th birthday celebration went out with a bang! I booked a couples massage for my girlfriend and I on our final day in the city. I’ve had a massage a few years back but never with a partner. I didn’t really know what to expect but the reviews seemed promising so I booked with TJ and Melanie in the relaxing Thailand Room. Couple standout features about this place: -The location is extremely close to downtown. We stayed at the Four Points Sheraton and you could probably throw a stone at it (pun intended) . -Unlike some parts of central Asheville, there is parking! -Complimentary tea was a hit with my girlfriend. -The interior is super cozy. Immediately felt at home. -You get one free add on with your massage. I picked the hot towels while my girlfriend picked the hot stones. Aromatherapy is also an option. The towel was hot as it should be. Now to the personal experience, being our first couples massage TJ and Melanie really comforted us and ensured we were at ease. I went with Melanie and she asked in depth questions to customize my massage. I told her I’m a wine sales rep and can pick up anywhere from 10 to 20 cases of wine a day on top of 4-5 hours of driving between accounts. I told here where I felt the need to focus but she seemed to have a keen understanding of additional places I could use some work. She really spent time where needed while maintaining a good pace. Nothing felt rushed. I alerted her of a shin bruise I got while moving some furniture and she was careful not to exploit it. After the massage, she went over ways to loosen up areas where I was most tense. She also pointed those areas out to me so I can get a better understanding. Amazing top to bottom experience, and we will definitely be back next time we are in Asheville! Two thumbs up over here!”

Barry G.

“I had a stressful day and was a little late, but instantly started to relax while TJ got started. He listened to me and focused where I asked him to, used LOTS of amazing hot towels, and stretched my arms and legs. I got a 10 massage package and look forward to returning with my husband.”

Sarah D.

“My husband and I came in for a couples massage today. We had Amberly and TJ as our massage therapists. What can I say, WOW! Best massage of my life!!! Everyone who works here is so friendly and professional. The atmosphere is amazing and welcoming. They made us tea with honey afterwards. I love this place so much! I highly recommend Blazing Lotus, I think it’s the best massage place there is!”

Corianna K.

“As a physical therapist and massage therapist of 37 years experience, I am very discerning with the bodywork I receive; so much of that due to the embarrassing fact that I do not create frequent opportunities to receive care, and want each infrequent one to be meaningful and effective. I chose to experience Blazing Lotus Spa and was completely welcomed into a wonderfully relaxed and nurturing environment that pleased all of the senses! Yesterday I had an amazing session with T.J. Grant which exceeded my hopes and expectations in every way! His strength is perfectly applied within the context of his sensitive hands, and apparently guided by skill acquisition and intuition. TJ discovered all of the myofascial restrictions and trigger points throughout my body, and expertly resolved them in a flow and sequence that was relaxing, enjoyable, and truly effective. His energy was palpable throughout the session, and his huge heart clearly encompassed his work! I will definitely return to TJ for my therapy and relaxation! Thank you!”

John L.

“ TJ was recommended by my daughter. Got an appointment the next day. Was greeted immediately and offered water when I arrived. The business is in a house that is a beautiful older home. Comfortable waiting area. My therapist met me downstairs and escorted me to the upstairs massage room. Asked for my concerns and checked in with me several times to ask if pressure was okay. Found my new local therapist.”

Dene D.

“ T.J. provided an unsurpassed deep tissue massage on my neck and shoulders! I had been experiencing intense headaches and was unable to stand in a natural, proper form comfortably with my shoulders down and back. T.J. worked firmly and intently – at my request – and was able to release their vice-like hold for which I am so very grateful!! It is a blessing to feel so good again!!! T.J. also shared a few exercises to strengthen the weaker muscles and stretches to counteract the head and shoulder roll forward that comes with sitting in front of a pc. They are working!! All this AND delightful conversation! I will be back!!”

Lynn H.

“Outstanding experience! TJ provides outstanding service. He greeted me with a warm welcome and made me feel relaxed right from the start. He has the ability to locate troubled areas as he proceeds, working through the knots and tightness. He tailors the massage to meet your needs, and I left there feeling better and years younger. At the end, he provided me with a choice of water or tea and some healing tips and resources so I can look after my own health until next time. The ladies at the desk are awesome too!! Blazing Lotus is a top-notch facility. They are a true healing house.”

Jeanette L.

“AMAZING! I fell in love with TJ today! The cat is out of the bag, I proposed! Lol.. Years of tormenting my body and not properly taking care of myself has led to terrible knots in my back! TJ made some break through on said knots and I made an appointment in 2 weeks! Thank you thank you thank you!”

Jennifer K.

“Amy and TJ were awesome! Just what we needed to start off a relaxing anniversary weekend right!”

Heather W.

“Have had massages with several different therapists and they really know what they are doing, plus they put their heart into it. T.J. gives a great deep tissue massage if you have areas that need special attention. Marina has teriffic ability to relax you so you will forget all your troubles. Everyone is kind and considerate and does whatever they can to assure your experience is more than you expected. The energy of Blazing Lotus is truly healing. I feel it from the moment I walk in until the moment I depart. I will continue to return.”

Shana F.

“My husband and I have been going here for awhile for massages and have had many different therapists who were all wonderful. My personal favorites have been T.J. and Justin. They have both worked with my complicated back issues (fusions/rods due to scoliosis) and I always walk out feeling amazing and rejuvenated. Their space is so relaxing and everyone there makes you feel welcome.”

Leah H.

“My husband and I got a couples massage from TJ and Meredith and they were both fantastic! They are so attentive to what you are comfortable with and where you want to or should work on. Definitely in the top massage experiences for both us. Not only did it feel amazing, they both had things for both of us to work on. Stretches or techniques to help combat the effects of the desk-work life. Great all around experience!”

Katie B.

“Great experience at the Blazing Lotus. We had a couples massage with Paige and TJ – Very relaxing experience, very knowledgeable massage therapists. They each worked specifically to our needs and pressure preferences. Cupping, hot stones, and hot towels were also offered free of charge with any massage, and it was worth it!Afterwards Paige and TJ met us downstairs with hot tea and water. They both had recommendations for day to day exercises to help work on posture because we both work in office settings. Highly recommend.”

James W.

“My husband and I did the couples massage for our anniversary. Neither of us had ever had a massage before. Both massage therapist were amazing. TJ was my massage therapist and was awesome! I felt amazing afterwards. Would highly recommend Blazing Lotus to anyone looking for a massage. The staff was very nice while booking the massage and while we were there!”

Jessica L.

“Great relaxing and knot-busting massage from TJ ! Super helpful tips for keeping my legs and glutes nice and loose for my trip west! Highly recommend this spot. Comfy digs and welcoming ppl.”

Matthew F.

“My partner and I scheduled a 60 minute couples’ massage with T.J. and Paige. We both agree that we’ve never had a better massage experience anywhere else. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the receptionist (I’ve forgotten her name) who was very easygoing and friendly and happy to answer all our questions about her experience living and working in Asheville. As we filled out the requisite paperwork, T.J. and Paige greeted us in the lobby, and asked about our individual needs. They worked hot stones, aromatherapy, hot towels, and cupping into the massage at no extra charge, and it made so much more of a difference than I was expecting. After the massage, we were offered water and hot tea, which I enjoyed quite a lot. We did a lot of browsing, trying to pick the right massage parlor, and I’m so glad we decided to go with Blazing Lotus. Highly recommended!”

Amy T.

“My partner (whose review is probably right beside mine) and I chose Blazing Lotus at first because of their very well designed and enticing website, and the sheer versatility of their massage work; incorporating hot stones, hot towels, essential oils, and cupping free of charge. Dollar per dollar, not only is this the best deal as a couples massage in Asheville, but puts you under the care of some of the best massage therapists we’ve ever worked with. I cannot recommend TJ and Paige enough. They did incredible work with us that’s had lasting effects on our energy, breath, and posture. Everyone here is extremely friendly, even going so far as to wait with water for us at the bottom of the stairs after our massage was over. I cannot recommend them enough.”

Gabriel K.

“When I decided to get a massage while on vacation in Asheville, something told me Blazing Lotus was the place. Every moment of my encounter there was heavenly. They have created a beautiful ambiance in this old home and are super welcoming upon arrival. TJ was an absolutely amazing therapist. He is intuitive, patient and curious about the body and I felt so cared for during my 90-minute massage (worth it, 60 minutes just isn’t enough!). As a massage therapist myself, I can say that this was one of the best massages I have ever had. I wish TJ practiced in upstate NY!”

Zoe I.

“The Healing House had a very tranquil setting with kind staff. I received a massage from TJ , who was very sincere in trying to help alleviate some of my problem areas in my back. I had great massage and felt so much better afterwards. Thank you. ”

Katie W.

“This place is amazing! They were able to get my cousin and I in at the very last minute on a cold rainy day. TJ helped me out and he was one of THE BEST massage therapists I’ve been to. I asked for a deep tissue with majority of the concentration on my shoulders/upper back. He massaged out every knot with the perfect amount of pressure for me [I like it hard ;)] and left me feeling so rejuvenated. I can’t recommend him enough!”

Quinn T.

“I recently visited Blazing Lotus and had a massage with TJ . He was fantastic! He used traditional massage, heated stones and cupping techniques to help me achieve relaxation and muscle relief. He did a great job of administering the right amount of pressure and making sure that I was comfortable throughout the massage. If I’m in Asheville again, I will definitely go back to the Blazing Lotus Healing House!”

Oaudrad

“My husband and I went for a couples massage for our one year wedding anniversary. Our therapists were TJ and Sommer and they were very attentive and caring. They listened to our concerns and needs and made us feel relaxed and welcomed. The staff is also very amazing and greeted us with warm smiles and offered us beverages as soon as we entered. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a massage in Asheville. I will most definitely be coming back the next time I am in town.”

Danielle T.

“My 15 year-old son and I enjoyed an afternoon massage by T.J. and Paige in adjacent rooms upstairs. Convenient walking distance from many attractions in downtown Asheville, the Blaizing Lotus Healing House is a relaxing get-away. From the friendly receptionist to the attentive massage therapists, all the staff was pleasant and helpful, doing their best to make this a fully enjoyable experience. Water prior to the massage, hot tea made from their own blends after the massage, and truffles before or after all added to the sense of being pampered. The massage therapists ( T.J. and Paige) focused their arts on the areas each of us specified during a short interview immediately preceding the massage. Hot stones, cups, warm layers of towels, and various therapeutic oils added to the indulgence. Well worth the $80 per person price tag.”

Alice H.

“We had a couples massage with T.J Grant and Justin Hromanda and it was the best experience we’ve had. They were very professional and therapeutic. Will be back next time we are in town!”

Sergio F.

“We got a couples massage while in town for the weekend. T.J. And Paige were our masseuses and did a fabulous job. It was very relaxing and well worth the money! They spent extra time to talk to us before and after and make us comfortable. Unlike most massages, this one included aromatherapy, hot stones, and cupping with no additional charge.”

Camden A.

“I booked a couples massage for my wife and I along with 30 minutes in the FIR Sauna. We had a great experience, all the staff were welcoming and kind. The place had an overall great vibe to it, Chakra flags, relaxing music, etc. We had TJ and Meredith, both were very experienced and left us feeling so relaxed. This was our first 90 minute massage as we usually do 60 minutes. I really enjoyed all the other little extras that are included with the massage, the hot stones were incorporated in a very subtle but relaxing way, the warm towels and the aromatherapy was another nice touch to an overall blissful experience. My wife and I have traveled to many resorts, had several massages before and this was one of our best experiences to date. We visit Asheville a few times a year and I am certain we will be back.”

Ddoc2

“I had a wonderful prenatal massage with Paige and my husband had an equally wonderful massage with TJ. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and we will certainly be coming back!”

Lilly O.

”I had a 2 hr. massage with T. J. It was my first time visiting the Blazing Lotus. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere, inviting and relaxed. T.J. is a pro. It’s obvious that he takes his role seriously. His knowledge, experience, and skill reflect that commitment. He used several different techniques—Swedish, hot stones, reflexology, etc.—all of which were amazing. I came in feeling very tense from a stint of long work weeks and travel. I left ready for the holidays and in a relaxed state of mind and body. I will definitely be back.”

Sara T.

“Amazing! I had TJ, best massage ever. Can’t wait to go back. The house is very peaceful, they did a great job making it a beautiful, calm place for healing.”

Sheri O.

“Omg – easily one of the best massages I’ve ever had in my life. TJ knew what he was doing – wow. He was so intentional about working out the knots where I had stress but also making it such a relaxing experience. I could have cried when it was over. I’m so sad we are only here for the weekend or I would be back asap. My husband had Justin and he was equally as awesome. Ah-Mazing!!!”

Kelley S.

“My experience at Blazing Lotus was wonderful. Everyone there was very friendly and made every effort to make me as comfortable as possible. T.J provided me with an excellent massage and it was evident that he is very skilled in a healing touch. The use of hot stones/towels and aroma therapy just enhanced my experience. I would definitely recommend them.”

Suzy R.

“Amazing experience! Our therapists, Sommer and T.J. were so attentive. This was our first time here and we plan to go back! We felt comfortable and relaxed during our couple’s massage and so much lighter once we left.”

Ruby F.

“This place has a lot of good, genuine intention behind it and all the staff I’ve encountered are great. Amber at the front desk is really sweet and Ayana, TJ, and Meredith have all given great massages.”

Katie R.

“Relaxing and wonderful. Thank you Blazing Lotus for making my girls vacation amazing today. TJ and Marina were wonderful. I highly recommend the 2 hour massage. (Because, why not!)

“Asheville should be called “Blazing Asheville.” My husband and I think that Asheville should be called “Blazing Asheville” simply because this healing house made our trip worth while. Yes, we had great food, music, and some dancing but when we left the Healing House we felt genuinely restored back to health. We felt closer as a couple and were able to leave town with assurance that things “are” okay. We’d recommend a couples massage with T.J. and Meredith. They intuitively paid attention to all of our needs and were able to place us at ease, not to mention did some great deep work when needed. Thank you guys, thank you. I will spread the word for sure.”

“This was our first time in Asheville and I wanted to surprise my husband with a re-do of our honeymoon (which was awful). From the minute we walked in the door, everyone was so wonderful. We were greeted with a friendly face and conversation. We had Paige and T.J. They were seriously amazing. They were both very easy to talk to and friendly. With it being my husbands first time, Paige was awesome with him. T.J is definitely the best masseuse I’ve came across. Hopefully we can make this an often trip! LOVED our visit!”

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas growing up playing all sports. I continued playing sports through my mid 30’s and of course I had my fair share of injuries. But it wasn’t till I moved to Santa Monica, CA and met my partner at that time, who was a massage therapist, and was introduced to the healing powers of massage that I realized what massage could do for mind, body, and spirit. Fast forward to 2017, after many different careers and lifetimes, when I decided to pursue a more in-depth knowledge of this sacred healing practice so I could help others realize this art to help themselves. Because of my background as a competitive athlete I understand the healing properties of a relaxing massage with therapeutic focuses. My focus is relaxing Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and Dry Cupping. I can integrate these different modalities for natural healing and relaxing sessions. Whether you’re looking to relax the mind and body or want to go deeper for therapeutic sessions or a combination of both, I look forward to collaborating together to find the perfect balance.

My Reviews

“The customer service was amazing! In my opinion, the prices are good. Now… let’s talk about my massage therapist ( Michael ). He was soooooo good. Litterly would have given the man my entire checkbook; instead I opted to give him a 50% tip lol. His techniques really helped ease my muscles. Definitely coming back!”

Danielle D.

“My boyfriend and I came to Asheville on a rainy Memorial Day weekend. We decided to do the couples Massage at Wild Rose Healing House. Neither of us had massages before and cannot express how amazing the experience was! Michael and Travis asked us what are problem areas were prior to the massage and explained the process in great detail. The hour massage was not long enough! Both my boyfriend and I left feeling like puddles of goo. It was an amazing experience with even complimentary tea and chocolates afterwards! High recommend and will definitely be back next time we are in Asheville!”

Jackie S.

“My husband and I booked a couples massage during a weekend getaway. The ambiance is charming and the staff is professional. But most of all, my massage from Michael was the best ever! His expertise was obvious, he helped loosen and relieve pain in my back that I’d been dealing with for months. I always worry how a first appointment is going to go, but Michael was in tune with my needs and his techniques were spot on!”

Tanya D.

“ I had an AMAZING massage today by Michael ! It was my first but I will be back. Such a welcoming spot and fantastic service and professionalism! “

Amy W.

“I would consider myself a massage guru / snob if you will lol… my husband and I have taken two date days and gone here for a couples massage. Both experiences were magical. The massage therapists were skilled and tentative. I told myself husband that this would be our new spot for massages! We saw Paige and Michael today and were both impressed with the service.”

Jade B.

“Damaris immediately welcomed us and made us feel like we had come to the right place. My husband and I were in town for a show and booked a couples massage. Michael was my therapist and did what I asked perfectly, his technique and pressure were amazing! My husband left feeling awesome and relaxed after Shea took great care of him, he hadn’t had a massage in years so it was a real treat for him.. Even the tea was relaxing. We will definitely make it a point to return next time we are in Asheville! The perfect end to our overnight getaway!”

Tanah W.

“Completely relaxing experience. Have seen Michael three times and will continue to return when I’m in town. He’s fantastic!”

Megan R.

“Love this place! It is such a relaxing setting in a beautiful historic home. The table warmers, hot towels, aromatherapy, and hot stones make the massage experience next level. Parking is easy, they have a lot beyond the building reserved for guests. Heather and Michael are top notch! I now go to Heather every month, as she is detailed, present, and has a wonderful balance of relaxing and therapeutic techniques she uses. Highly recommend seeing her! I recently had Michael when Heather wasn’t available and was very impressed as well. He was precise, checked in about pressure, and provided a relaxing experience.”

Pamela R.

“My session was really lovely and brought a lot of awareness to my body. I had Michael as a therapist and my massage felt like the perfect variety of pressure and technique.”

Emily W.

“I had the foot and lower leg massage. Michael has such strong hands that released all the tension. What a treat! I will definitely return for future treatments. Thanks for such a beautiful space and wonderful experience.”

“My husband and I are both 67. We love to hike, cycle, power walk and strength train 3 times a week. We hiked Mount Mitchell on Wednesday. It was a challenge. The next day we scheduled FERN PACKAGE: “Athlete’s Recovery” — A 120 min deep tissue massage + assisted stretching + “muscle rescue” luxury enhancement +cupping+ customized aromatherapy + hot stones with Michael and Paige. Michael was absolutely amazing. He was very focused to relieve the tightness in my legs and back. The combined techniques of cupping, stretching and hot stones/towels rejuvenated my tired muscles. Michael’s skill and attentiveness to my body provided a perfect massage. My husband loved Paige! He could not stop praising her skills that proved to be his best massage. We will be back soon!!!”

Mary K.

Christopher P.

“OMG Just had an amazing massage here!! Michael was absolutely fantastic, I asked for firm pressure and he delivered! My husband’s masseuse was Jenna and he loved his massage too! Highly recommend hot stones as your free enhancement! Didn’t get any pics besides the receptionist’s puppy lol So cute!”

Sarah M.

“Absolutely fantastic visit! My husband and I booked a couples massage and Michael and Stephen did a wonderful job! Left feeling relaxed and refreshed!”

Lyndsey W.

“Wonderful experience. Highly recommend doing a massage and then at least 30 min in the sauna. I left incredibly relaxed and at peace. Michael was a wonderful massage therapist that made me feel cared for.”

Jamie B.

“My husband and I came in this week for a couples massage and we were booked with Michael and Jenna. It was sooo relaxing and calming. We both felt like new people walking out of there. I’d highly recommend them both. Not to mention the whole house was adorable and had so much charm. I would absolutely love to come back again!” -“My husband and I came in this week for a couples massage and we were booked with Michael and Jenna. It was sooo relaxing and calming. “Got the athlete’s package with Michael and the massage was so good and I was so relaxed for the first time in a while that I got lost on my way home (I’ve lived where I live for three years lol). I have very intense muscle knots that have been giving me pain for years and I feel like Michael gets in the corners where other massage therapists haven’t reached. The inside of the building is decorated beautifully too, and the front desk people are super sweet. I definitely will be back!”

Camille S.

“I had an incredible massage on Friday, July 28, with Michael Hernandez . I have been hiking a lot over the summer and was experiencing some lower back pain. Michael is very intuitive, being a hiker too, and he knew all the trigger points to hit to release the tension in my lower back. Michael gives his full attention to providing an outstanding deep tissue massage, and his high energy can be felt throughout the massage. I always leave there feeling completely at peace with the world and energized for my next hike. Your mind, body and soul will thank you for scheduling with Michael . The Wild Rose is an absolute gem.”

Jeanette L.

“I have been coming to Wild Rose for the past 3 years or so. Every therapist who I have worked with has been exceptional and I have always left feeling much better than when I arrived. I am very active in hiking, biking, teaching and doing Pilates and yoga so I use my body a lot every day. Over time, I have gravitated towards Michael Hernandez at Wild Rose and have determined that Michael is the best massage therapist that I have ever had. His skill set addresses every area that my body craves in a massage. He understands anatomy in motion, how to find opposition points to help fully release muscle groups and how to work the body and the massage in 3-D which is how we move. He is extremely adept at working in the shoulder area and finding strategies to release neck and spinal tension-constriction. I have definitely found my body healer as well as a beautiful space for healing. Thank you Michael and thank you Wild Rose!”

Becky T.

“Michael was great! Scheduled a couple’s massage with some hesitation as I have had unsatisfactory massages at 2 other places in Asheville. Michael took his time, was in tune with my muscle issues and had tips for stretching afterwards. Front staff was delightful. I’ll be back!”

Sandra O.

“Hands down one of the best massage places I’ve found in Asheville and I’ve tried a lot. Booking is super simple online, checkin is quick and efficient, and I have never had to wait but a few minutes in the lounge prior to my appointment. And speaking of the lounge, it’s gorgeous. All the details are perfection. It’s a great old house with lots of charm. I usually book last minute with any staff available and the last two times have been with Michae l. I do think he is one of the best massage therapists I have ever had. He’s amazing! I’ll admit it can be awkward having a male therapist but he makes you so comfortable and relaxed. I cannot recommend him or Wild Rose enough. Stop reading already and just book your appointment!!”

Tiffany P.

“Wow! First off, the atmosphere here is so welcoming and warm. I originally booked a massage with Davida because after reading her description, I felt she would be a great MT for me. The day of, I got a call saying she would be out sick and that Michael will be there at that time and could fulfill my appointment or I could reschedule. I’ll be honest, originally I was only interested in getting a massage from a woman & I didn’t think I’d be comfortable getting a massage from a man at this time with all the things I was going through, but I had remembered reading reviews saying he was wonderful and something in me decided that I’d go for it. And wonderful he was! Michael was very respectful, kind and on top of it all, a great massage therapist! He asked me multiple times about the pressure, which I highly appreciated because sometimes I find it hard to speak up. The massage room was decorated beautifully and felt so peaceful to be in. I booked an infrared sauna session for after my massage, and after both appointments and a quick shower, I felt like I was coming out of a portal into a new, calm, relaxed state. This place really is a healing house! I felt the need to share my whole story because if you’re like me and maybe feel uncomfortable with the idea of getting a massage from the opposite sex for whatever reason, I want to assure you that Michael is an incredible MT and I felt very safe, relaxed and respected while receiving a massage from him! Big thanks to Michael , the young woman at the front desk (can’t remember her name!) and the owners of Wild Rose! My experience here was truly wonderful and healing.”

Kathyrn S.

“Amazing. Best message of our life. I had Michael and my wife Zosia. We agree they both were fantastic.”

Daniel H.

“Well managed with a great staff. Highly recommend 1.5 hrs with Michael Hernandez .”

Henry D.

“My wife and I scheduled a couples massage right before Christmas. The atmosphere is very pleasing and our masseur and masseuse Michael and Willow were amazing, personable, chatty and friendly. We visit Asheville once or twice a year and plan on returning to Wild Rose each time! A great experience.”

Ralph I.

“My sister and I booked 1 hour integrative massages for a girls day and were more than impressed. We love the aesthetic of the building and decor, everyone was very kind, and the massages were some of the best we’ve ever had. Michael targeted areas on my body that I did not know I needed but felt instant relief. We joked that we would be coming back to Asheville just for the massages, but now we’re actually planning another trip because of how wonderful our experience was. Worth every dollar. Thank you all!”

Emmie T.

“My husband and I had a couples massage while vacationing in Asheville. Michael and Davida were attentive and professional. They listened to our needs. The room itself was warm and calming. It was the best massage experience we ever had. I highly recommend the Wild Rose Healing House!!”

Therese D.

“Absolutely amazing 🤩 me and my best friend did a couple massage & Micheal and TJ were very professional and great. It was my first one so I was nervous and it was a great experience….would highly recommend this place & will be returning soon. 5 star service!”

I was born and raised here in Asheville and have a deep appreciation for the richness of Appalachian culture and all that these mountains offer. This place has long been a retreat for those seeking to be well. And so naturally, I was drawn to the healthcare field from an early age. I spent many hours of my youth assisting my mother in elder care homes and attained my CNA licensure at the age of 17. While attending to my residents, I recall being fascinated by the Massage therapists who brought relief to those in rehabilitation and hospice care.

In fall of 2017, I acquired licensure as a massage and bodywork therapist. I tailor my sessions to meet each individual’s needs whether that be relief from chronic and acute pain or to find a deep sense of peace within. I incorporate the use of Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue, and passive stretching to create space for the body to heal and the mind to regulate.

In my spare time I enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle full of hikes with my family, dancing and lots of time in the water. It is my passion to help you achieve an active and vibrant quality of life as well and I look forward to meeting you.

My Reviews

“Got my first ever massage with Becca and it was amazingly relaxing. Definitely will be back.”

Allison F.

“I absolutely ADORE this healing house. I first went back in November of 2023. My husband had gifted by best friend and I a couples massage as we were both new moms at the time and in desperate need of bodily repair and restoration. (NEW GIRL’S NIGHT UNLOCKED!) From the moment we walked through the doors of this gorgeously decorated and ornately restored older home, we felt instantly relaxed. We were warmly greeted by the front desk and we were offered the most delicious cup of hot tea. We were escorted to an absolutely beautiful room full of shelves with carefully and thoughtfully placed decor and candles that set the ambiance of peacefulness so perfectly. I had Becca as my therapist and my best friend had Bri. I have never experienced a greater massage before in my life, and I have had several around the world. This was hands down the greatest massage I have ever received. Becca found trouble spots on me that I didn’t even know existed. (Who knew your glutes could hold so much tension?!) I had never felt better, especially after having a baby, and my best friend felt the same. I am pretty sure we both floated out. If you are in the Asheville area, you NEED to visit Wild Rose Healing House. It is TRULY a place of healing… THANK YOU!”

Michelle W.

“WE LOVE WILD ROSE HEALING HOUSE! We have both had the opportunity to visit Wild Rose and were blown away by the level of service provided. We both come from hospitality so we expect a certain level of service and all of the staff, from the front desk to the massage therapists, went above and beyond to provide us with the most amazing experience ever. We both had Becca on separate occasions because she was just so wonderful and we cannot speak highly enough about what an amazing job she did. We loved it so much, we filmed a YouTube video on just how wonderful this place was! We even gifted our friends and family gift certificates and now they hold memberships! If you are looking for a relaxing activity after exploring Asheville, treat yourself to an experience at Wild Rose Healing House, you won’t be disappointed!”

“Was visiting NC and went to this place because of the great reviews! My friend and I both got massages and loved the whole experience. Both massage therapists (Lauren and Becca !) were so nice and talked us through everything. The massage was magical! When my friend accidentally left behind a ring, they were even so kind to mail it back! 10/10 would recommend!”

Natalie G.

“First timer and I found my people! Lovely place, with quiet and restful rooms and Becca was a pro, will definitely be back to see her. She is incredibly skilled and intuitive and I left more relaxed than I have been in a long time. Staff is kind and their tea is yummy! Also, they are open on Sunday which is a huge plus for me.”

Angie S.

“My wife booked me a 60-minute Integrative Massage with Becca as a surprise after the Asheville Marathon, and it was exactly what I needed! Becca was incredible—she intuitively focused on the areas that needed the most attention, and the entire experience was super relaxing and therapeutic. The space itself is beautiful—calm, inviting, and so zen. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. You can tell a lot of care and intention goes into creating a peaceful environment. And Allison, the owner, is awesome! I can’t recommend Wild Rose Healing House enough—this was the perfect way to recover, and I’ll definitely be back!”

Rob K.

“I just saw Becca for the first time and it was fabulous! I asked for a deep tissue massage and she kept the pressure going for 2 hours. The environment was very peaceful and relaxing and the staff were so accommodating.”

Jennifer D.

“My husband and I had the best experience in a couples massage with Becca and Shae. We are both blown away by their technique, skill, and energy. This place has a special thing going on and we cannot recommend it enough! Truly a healing house!”

Holly B.

“ Becca was fantastic. This was the most relaxing hour I’ve had in a while. First time trying the hot stones. My back feels amazing. Also Sam was so nice. From making the appointment and checking in. I thought I’d be waiting weeks to get in. She had appointments the following day I called. I definitely recommend going here if you want the most relaxing experience ever.”

Linda C.

“My time at Wild Rose was beyond all expectations… the house is perfection!! Becca gave me the most healing massage this 66 year old has ever had … Can’t wait to return!”

Loretta S.

“Got a couples massage on our trip to Asheville this week, and it’ll be on my list of things I have to do when I visit every time I come! My fiancé agreed this is the best massage he’s had yet. Wild Rose was so kind about contacting us, and offering a free enhancement on our service! It was nice to feel welcomed before even arriving, and it did not stop there. The desk staff was so sweet, and the lounge areas and rooms had a homey and cozy feel. The desk even sent us home with our choice of complimentary Wild Rose goodies, and we chose the yummy tea and the beautifully scented Epsom salts. Becca and Heather were awesome! Can’t recommend this place enough if you are looking for a more personal and down to earth spa experience.”

Alyx P.

“My 60 minute massage with Becca was wonderful! Her approach was individualized and her feedback afterwards was very helpful. The environment was relaxing, the heated table a luxury, and the chocolate afterwards was delish! I highly recommend!”

“Lovely house. Friendly receptionist, Randi. I had the most wonderful massage with Becca Burd who used neuromuscular, deep tissue and passive stretching techniques. Very intuitive massage therapist.”

Marie L.

“Absolutely amazing couples massage! We were in Asheville for a long weekend and scheduled with Becca and Bri. Could not have had a better experience.”

Lori D.

“My wife and I had a couples massage here and loved it. The staff was courteous, the facility was clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Becca and Heather were fantastic. They listened to what we wanted and were very accomodating. If I’m ever in Asheville again, I’m visiting the Wild Rose Healing House.”

David M.

“Had a great massage with my friend, as we were visiting from out of town for a much awaited friends get-away-post Covid. We had difficulty finding a spa which could accommodate us both at the same time. Wild Rose was able to get us both in at the same time. We each had the Signature massage with hot stone, hot towels and dry brushing. It was so relaxing. My masseuse, Rebecca was able to provide extra care for a hip issue I’m having, and she was so very sweet. Enjoyed it very much and felt better all over afterwards. Also the price point was better than some of the hotels spas locally and I think the service was just as good. Thanks very much for an enjoyable experience!”

I grew up on the water in League City, Texas, where I became interested in natural healing at an early age. I received my massage license in 2007 and, after practicing massage in the area for several years, I moved to North Carolina to study herbal medicine. I continued to practice massage, and as I bring more of my intuitive gifts into practice as well as formal studies in shamanism, I have learned to incorporate them into my bodywork.

When practicing massage, I like to bring my focus towards the type of healing my client is desiring to achieve. Whether it is Swedish massage, reflexology, prenatal, trigger point therapy, or deep tissue work, my goal is to bring a feeling of a deep inner peace to each session.

In addition to massage therapy, I love enjoying lots of sunshine, spending time with my son, exploring the mountains, watching my plants grow, and doing intuitive consultations.

“Wild Rose was super communicative. And on top of that, they were very well experienced in their skills. I believe I had Bri and she was amazing. My full body needed work and she did a great job at hitting all the specific spots with perfect pressure. Definitely recommend this one!!”

Meng L.

“Me and the wife went for our honeymoon. It was the best massage I’ve ever had; even feel asleep a couple times. We had Stephen and Bri and they were very attentive to detail and great. We will definitely come back soon.”

Jacquel J.

“I had an incredible massage with Bri . I was a little nervous at first because I had some very complex issues going on and was in severe pain. But I Immediately recognized that I had come to the right place, as Bri intuitively knew just what I needed. Her energy was so sweet and gentle, while at the same time the massage was deep and powerful on both a physical and energetic level. Thank you Bri !”

Lena G.

I had Becca as my therapist and my best friend had Bri . If you are in the Asheville area, you NEED to visit Wild Rose Healing House. It is TRULY a place of healing… THANK YOU!”

Michelle W.

“I absolutely enjoyed my session! Will definitely be coming back. Very friendly staff, calming environment, great tea too! Will be recommending to friends and family. Bri was my therapist and done a wonderful job. I like how she asked about areas to avoid and what I’d be interested in of pressure and hot stones was a great combo. Thanks for the tea!”

Sam R.

“Wonderful massage with Bri ! The building and room inside were gorgeous. I will definitely return.”

Barbara W.

“Very welcoming Healing House! I have been to Wild Rose healing house for their sauna . It is very clean and super welcoming experience. This time I had a massage as well with one of their therapist Bri , great therapist, she listened to my needs and worked accordingly.”

Fatatino

“We are in town visiting and decided on a signature couples massage. It was a great experience from the request of the appointment online to our farewell as we left. Bri and Ren asked and listened to our focus needs. They both did an excellent job on our trouble spots as well as giving a wonderful massage. We walked out of the beautifully designed house happy customers. They even gave us both a gift for coming in. If in town again we will be back.”

Pam C.

“Had a Couple’s Massage while in town to celebrate our anniversary. Shea and Bri were outstanding! As it was my first massage, I didn’t know what to expect. I asked Bri if she could focus on my lower back. Its been 2 weeks and my back is pain free! Literally felt like I was floating at one point. Highly recommend.”

Rob W.

“Great couples massage. We will definitely go back. Lucas and Bri were wonderful.”

Elizabeth H.

“Highly recommend this place! I went for the first time today, Bri was my therapist she did absolutely amazing, was very caring, and listened to my questions and concerns, and focused on my problem areas. She was such a sweetheart! I would absolutely see her again. Everyone in Wild Rose that I spoke too was very sweet, and professional. Love this place! Thank you Bri for my amazing massage, and for taking such good care of me!”

Hailey E.

“A true gem! The Wild Rose is a more intimate & charming establishment located very close to downtown Asheville. My sister & I explored Asheville for a few hours & had appointments at the WR for an hour massage w/ hot rocks & aromatherapy included. The ambiance is lovely and the service was fabulous. TY Lisa & Bri .”

Debra W.

“Absolutely amazing couples massage! We were in Asheville for a long weekend and scheduled with Becca and Bri . Could not have had a better experience.”

Lori D.

“My Husband and I celebrated our Anniversary this past weekend with the goal of Relaxation and Serenity in mind so we chose to visit Asheville. We decided to skip the hotel Spa at the Hilton in hopes of finding some place a little more intimate and Wild Rose exceeded our expectations. From the time we walked through the door we immediately knew we made the right choice. We’ve visited alot of Spas in and out of the country and I can honestly say that Wild Rose is officially our favorite hands down. The place is so clean and refreshing, even the restrooms, lol. The Couples Suite is so cozy and romantic and it was so easy to relax. The staff is super amazing, from the receptionist to our wonderful massage therapist Coco & Bri , they were all Top Notch. If I could give Wild Rose 100 stars I would because they’d deserve every one of them. The next time we decide to visit Asheville this will definitely be our 1st to do.”

Shayla C.

“I could not have been happier with my visit to Wild Rose. After an extremely stressful week, it was exactly what was needed. Bri was sensational, sensitive to my needs, thorough, right amount of pressure and communicative. I highly recommend.”

Chuck B.

“My husband and I bought a couples massage. I totally recommend this facility. Bri and Coco were amazing. We get massages often and this was the best experience. Professional, knowledgeable, and relaxing.”

Kate L.

“First impressions are everything. I recently visited Wild Rose for a couple’s massage. Not only was it our first couple’s massage, but our first massage in general. The moment I walked through the front door I was very impressed. The overall feeling of Wild Rose Healing House was very calm and welcoming. We were greeted with a smile and welcomed into a waiting area to await Bri and Rachel. While we waited we were welcomed to chocolates, water, products, and a book with a small biography of each therapist. I already knew we had made the right decision and was very impressed before the massage started. We chose the signature couples massage which included aromatherapy, hot towels, and hot stones. Bri and Rachel spoke to us individually prior to the massage to see if there were any areas to focus on or that we preferred to leave out the massage. The room itself was very welcoming with dim lighting and a fireplace. I told Rachel I felt like a wet noodle after our massage. The attention to every part of our body was phenomenal. As stated. I’ve never had a massage but I will hold every one here out to the standard of Wild Rose Healing House. My first impression of a massage and Wild Rose Healing House could not have been better. Thank you Wild Rose, Rachel, and Bri !”

Jessica E.

“My wife and I were lucky enough to book a last minute couples massage with Bri and Sebastian. Both were just fantastic; best massage ever. They incorporated stones, hot towels, and were great listeners. We will come back on our next visit.”

Jose F.

“Amazing experience! My husband and I had couples massage and it was fantastic. Very professional and relaxing atmosphere. Bri and Lucas, thank you for a perfect experience on our vacation!”

Sara T.

“Best body work I have ever had. I was visiting Asheville last week and had body work with Bri Garolla . She was amazing. My body was very tight from traveling and previous injuries. Her technique was slow, loving and patient. I have had many massages and body work sessions. She is the best. How do I know? My muscles continue to feel relaxed and renewed a week later. I wish I lived in the area. I would see her regularly.”

Sabrina B.

“ My husband and I booked a couples signature massage for our anniversary. It was my husband’s first massage, his therapist was Bri – she took care of all his problem areas. He was, so relaxed and comfortable, he fell asleep twice. My therapist was Sebastian, he took care of my problem areas and was super attentive. We loved our time spent here and can’t wait to come back.”

My healing journey began when I started Massage Therapy school in 2015 at Isothermal Community College in Columbus, NC. I was excited to learn about the body and ways to ease physical discomfort. Our training included Craniosacral Therapy (CST), and one day the instructor used me for the demonstration. Afterward I felt more grounded, and more present in my body than I had in a long time. In March 2013 I experienced a grand mal seizure. Since the seizure I had felt something I could only describe as being “disconnected from myself”. I realized that I was beginning to heal from this after one small CST session, and a completely new world of healing opened for me. I began studying Craniosacral Therapy in 2018 and it has added an energetic, accepting and compassionate element to my practice.

Each session is uniquely about You. My technique is a blend of slow detailed strokes, Myofascial stretching, Trigger Points, Deep Tissue and compressions. I also offer full CST sessions for a deeper intuitively internal experience. These sessions are typically done wearing comfortable clothes and laying flat on the table, with whatever accommodations you need. My role is to facilitate You and Your journey with gentle hand placements, holding a space for you to quietly go within. Generally one experiences a deep sense of relaxation and well being.

Besides my passion for the Healing Arts, I really enjoy being out in nature. The WNC area is amazingly beautiful. My favorite hikes are on any of the balds. Being up there and experiencing the complete openness is a wonderful feeling and I love it!

I look forward to meeting and working with You all, both local residents and those visiting this unique area.

Everyday we may experience stressors that accumulate in the body. The body holds memories of this with the potential to contribute to dis-ease, pain, tension, and discomfort. I believe with a consistent massage regimen we are able to listen to the body and begin to create a path of wellness towards harmony within.

As a massage therapist and reiki practitioner, since 2011. I’ve been able to discover layers of integrated healing techniques that allow each session to be tailored to your needs. Nurturing your senses and allowing for a safe container of healing. My approach is based on PNF/MET, Lomi lomi, trigger point therapy and reflexology. With previous experience working alongside great physical therapists and yoga instructors.

I am certified in Reiki Level II, Prenatal, Intuitive Food Reader and forever a student.

“I’ve had amazing experiences here! The BEST massages I have EVER gotten have been here at Wild Rose. I typically see Alea or Kathryn and they are both wonderful! They each listen to my needs and are very accommodating. I’m a hairstylist, so I typically get a mix of both deep tissue and relaxing / Swedish. I’ve also seen a couple other massage therapists here and truly everyone is so talented and great The environment is very clean, peaceful, and relaxing. Front desk staff are so kind and sweet as well. Truly I couldn’t recommend this place more!”

“I just had my very first 90-minute massage with Alea , and I’m honestly still floating. From start to finish, it was such a calming, grounding experience. The space itself was beautiful and soothing—immediately put me at ease. Alea was amazing. She used hot stones and warm towels throughout the session, which felt absolutely heavenly. She checked in just enough to make sure I was comfortable, but also gave me the space to fully relax and sink into the experience. I left feeling completely relaxed, warm, and recharged. Highly recommend booking with Alea —she has such a thoughtful, healing touch.”

I’m the pickiest person when it comes to massages, but somehow I found the perfect place and the perfect massage therapist. Alea’s technique is intuitive, integrative and healing. “ Alea was a miracle worker! Seriously, she made every other massage I’ve had look like a joke. I have a lot of back pain from my service industry job and she found every. single. knot. in my back and shoulders and I felt a million times better after I left. It was just what I needed! Also, the environment of Wild Rose itself is just so calm, relaxing, and aesthetically pleasing. The receptionist was fantastic as well, offering me tea and chocolates to make the experience even better! Definitely coming back to this place.”

“So Wild Rose Healing house was my first (much needed) massage booked as a couples massage by my fiance on a special weekend for us. I must say, I was so impressed by the professionalism, the amazing massage that I wish never ended. The work was thorough and attentive. My fiance truly enjoyed it and he always said he would never get a massage. Now he wants another. We live a few hours away from Asheville but I haven’t found another place that comes close to the Wild Rose. I plan on making more trips to Asheville just to visit Wild Rose! And a huge shout-out to Sebastian and Alea for such amazing massages! And a beautiful, peaceful environment.”

I was born and raised in North Carolina with a magnetic draw to these stunning mountains where I’m now happily rooted. My journey in health and wellness began in 2014 when I became a Certified Personal Trainer, which provided structural knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology. One evening, I realized I was able to put my dog in a trance by massaging her. This seemingly simple realization changed the course of my life; I wanted to know if that response would translate to humans as well (turns out, it does!)

By 2015, I earned my Massage and Bodywork License through the NC School of Massage in Cornelius with a specialty in Neuromuscular Therapy. Since then, I’m thrilled to have witnessed my clients benefit greatly from soft tissue work, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. I’ve earned certifications in Cupping, Fire Cupping, table Thai, Hot Stone, and spent a year immersing myself in Ayurvedic practices. I provide fluid and intentional touch to each individual client, whether you are looking to relax with therapeutic massage, reduce pain with medical massage, increase range of motion with stretching, or an integration of these modalities. My goal is always for my clients to consistently walk out the door feeling like they are living in a much more comfortable body.

Healing is my passion and I truly believe it chose me. I look forward to the opportunity to assist you in your healing journey.

“I received a deeply therapeutic massage from Chelsea at Wild Rose a couple months back. We were in Blaze (best room of the whole house in my opinion, absolutely beautiful and relaxing). She listened to my needs and suggested adding in some myofasical release work for my back which I could feel immediate relief from. Her attention to detail was superb, the pressure just right. I left feeling totally rejuvenated. I’ve also been a licensed massage therapist for 10 years and can be picky with who I receive from. Highly recommend working with Chelsea .”

“My hubby and I had a relaxing, healing 30 minutes neck and back couples massage with TJ and Chelsea .

“I would consider myself a massage guru / snob if you will lol… my husband and I have taken two date days and gone here for a couples massage. Both experiences were magical. “Found wild rose healing house by accident, it happened to be right down the road from where I was staying in AVL, and had good reviews. My partner and I enjoyed the signature couples massage. It was without a doubt the best massage we have ever had. Pure ecstasy. Both body workers ( Paige & Lisa) knew exactly what points to hit, and were incredibly intuitive with the pressure. I would certainly come back whenever I’m in the area, it was so good I would fly from Europe again just for a session! I could not recommend this business more. Lovely atmosphere as well and very friendly staff.”

“I have been all over Asheville trying to find the massage that is right for me. Paige is a true healer. I even asked her if she does energy healing because I felt a shift in energy that I had never felt before during a massage. Perfect amount of pressure, communication and skill. Loved my experience and I feel SO much better after a couple of months of heavy workouts.”

I grew up in North Carolina and fell in love with these mountains when I went to summer camp in the Pisgah National Forest when I was 10 years old. To me massage and bodywork is one of the most natural things in the world. As a young child I remember relieving my cramps at recess by curling my fingers under my ribs, pressing into my diaphragm and slowly breathing until I could take a deep breath without pain. In 2002 I moved to Asheville, attended the Center for Massage and Natural Health and have been practicing massage and bodywork professionally since 2004. Over the years I have worked with many thousands of people with needs ranging from stress reduction to helping them manage and alleviate their specific complaints of pain and dysfunction. In 2017 I began teaching Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Postural assessment and Clinical Bodywork at a local community college. Helping people find a way out of pain and giving them the tools to care for themselves is a passion of mine that I find exciting and deeply rewarding. I specialize in Orthopedic massage, careful clinical Bodywork, pain-free deep tissue and working with people seeking results that they can see and feel. I believe that most people’s pain has a soft tissue component that can be addressed non-invasively and that sometimes even potential surgeries can be avoided through informed soft-tissue therapy and self-care. I am attuned to Reiki 1, 2 and 3 and love to include energy work during sessions when requested. I also volunteer weekly doing massage and Reiki with autistic children, adults and their caregivers through the local nonprofit organization Arms Around ASD. In my free time I love to receive massage and bodywork, dance to live music, hike, camp, snowboard and hang out with my cat, dog and children.

“Just had a couples massage and we are both feeling so great. Great experience I’d highly recommend! Suki did wonders for my prenatal massage and Alivia for my husband, we are both happy and feeling relief! Thank you!”

Paige B.

“I’ve been going to Wild Rose for over a year and absolutely love it. Suki is amazing! Their membership program is fairly priced, and the whole aesthetic is cozy and relaxing.”

Kristin D.

“So happy we picked Wild Rose! I am 6 months pregnant and had a wonderful, relaxing prenatal massage. Suki made me feel so at ease and cared for, and they had the perfect equipment for comfortable pregnancy positioning. My husband had a great massage with Shea as well. Front desk was so welcoming and even sent us home with little gifts. It’s clear how much care and intention has been put into the whole experience. Would return in a heartbeat!”

Carly H.

“I was visiting Asheville and found this amazing little massage house. The staff was super friendly and totally professional in every way. Suki my therapist was very attentive to the areas that needed the most work on my body. I was very impressed. I would recommend Blazing Lotus whole heartedly.”

Coy T.

“Found wild rose healing house by accident, it happened to be right down the road from where I was staying in AVL, and had good reviews. My partner and I enjoyed the signature couples massage. It was without a doubt the best massage we have ever had. Pure ecstasy. Both body workers (Paige & Lisa ) knew exactly what points to hit, and were incredibly intuitive with the pressure. I would certainly come back whenever I’m in the area, it was so good I would fly from Europe again just for a session! I could not recommend this business more. Lovely atmosphere as well and very friendly staff.”

My first college biomechanics and kinesiology class in 2019 sparked a deep appreciation and fascination with the human body, how it moves, and how it functions. After a few years of not quite knowing what to do with that profound interest, and cycling through career paths that didn’t feel like “it”, I had a realization during my first week of massage therapy school in 2023 that every other certification, degree, and course had been preparing me for this. Massage school felt effortless due to my enthusiasm for its content and the base of knowledge I had built over the years.

I combine various techniques that encourage relaxation, calm the nervous system, and release muscle tension. I am a detail-oriented person who enjoys taking the time to treat specific areas using neuromuscular therapeutic techniques, but also balancing that out with as much relaxation massage as the body needs. I prefer to go slow and be thorough, since in a world where we’re often swept up in the “do, do, do” I understand the value of helping clients’ nervous systems rest during our sessions. I offer my full presence to each client, recognizing that true healing happens when we can be both physically and mentally present. I believe that the healing qualities of massage reach their greatest potential through collaboration between therapist and client, so I welcome and invite your participation and feedback throughout.

Outside of health & wellness, my passions include learning, nature, and art. The best days incorporate all three!

“Had a wonderful massage! I highly recommend Kathryn .”

Anne B.

“I had such a beautiful experience with Kathryn. We began with a short dialogue, with me sharing what brought me in. The collaboration was apparent. I came in with some low back and hip pain and the desire to relax. Kathryn used the time we had intuitively to target my “tender areas” and also gifted me the sweetness of relaxing into the experience. I really appreciated the way she used her skills to create a meaningful and therapeutic experience for me.”

Crista R.

“This was my first Wild Rose experience. I was 100% satisfied. Kat has strong hands, asked me questions to know what I wanted and needed, and then followed through perfectly. I would highly recommend her to others. The vibe throughout the place was serene and gentle. I’m going back.”

Peter B.

“Read reviews and decided to visit Blazing Lotus and got scheduled with Kathryn , to my knowledge she didn’t have any reviews yet. Was slightly hesitant to spend the $$ not knowing how much experience she had. Very pleased with the outcome, she was EXCEPTIONAL! We started early and discussed my problem areas (lower back tightness and right shoulder). She showed great focus on helping the problem areas including pressure points and pressure in general. She did not stop for 90 mins, would definitely go back and schedule Kathryn !”

I was a competitive gymnast until the age of 21 which gave me a specific kind of attuned body awareness. I started massaging my teammates in high school during practice using my intuitive knowledge of the body, and noticed that I truly enjoyed it. I graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelors in Exercise Science in 2011. I then decided to pursue my intrigue for bodywork at the Finger Lakes School of Massage 1000 hour program in 2013. That journey completely changed my life path for the better. It was a major catalyst in my personal growth and opened my eyes to the holistic wellness world.

My background with practicing massage has been in a variety of different settings. I have 11 years of professional experience between working in New York, Hawaii, and North Carolina. Some of my most memorable and fulfilling experiences with clients are where reciprocal learning transpires. I especially enjoy working on individuals who ask for specific work on areas of pain or injury, but I also love a regulating full body check-in session. Facilitating the body into a more natural state so it can heal itself, is always the intention.

I am presently pursuing a Masters in Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine at Jung Tao School. My awareness of the energetic channels combined with my sports medicine background reflects in my style of bodywork. When I’m not in the depths of growing my arsenal of practitioner skills, my time is spent; rock climbing, weight lifting, dancing to EDM, getting lots of sun, and daydreaming about an Italian countryside lifestyle.

“My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and had an incredible 90-minute couples massage. Shea and Lauren were wonderful—attentive, intuitive, and completely tailored each massage to our needs. We both left feeling renewed and relaxed. This is truly the best massage studio in Asheville—we’ve been loyal clients for years and always look forward to coming back. The infrared sauna is amazing too and gets really hot!”

“My husband and I had a 90 minute couples massage. My therapist was Lauren and his therapist was Candis. My massage was amazing! We give both therapists and Wild Rose Healing House 5 stars.”

I have been professionally practicing massage therapy since 1995, and it still brings me joy to meet and assist my clients in relaxing, to guide a meditative inner body landscape tour, help transform stuck areas, and bring the bodymind into a new sense of caring integration. For as long as I’ve been a bodyworker I’ve also been a yoga teacher, and that understanding of the body greatly informs my work, from the way I intuitively sense and work with energy to the way I sometimes bring gentle stretches into my sessions. I work to craft healing, meaningful, and therapeutic experiences that draw from my skills in Deep-Tissue-Myofascial-Release, Thai Massage, Swedish Massage, Guided Visualization, Lomi-Lomi, Polarity Energy Healing, and Hot Stone Massage. I have called these mountains my home for 20 years, and when I’m not doing or receiving massage, I am likely to be found writing, doing yoga, playing with music or my dogs, cooking for my family and friends, or communing with nature.

“I had a 90-minute massage with Laura that included a coconut oil scalp massage, and I cannot recommend Wild Rose or Laura enough! It was such a wonderful, intentional, collaborative massage. She really listened to what my body was saying and adapted from there, which made the whole experience feel so personalized. Being able to choose a complimentary add-on like aromatherapy, hot stones, or hot towels was such a wonderful touch, too. Do yourself a favor and go see Laura at Wild Rose, or check out their sister property, Blazing Lotus! You will not regret it.”

I have a deep passion for creating a safe, nurturing space where others can return to themselves and reconnect with their bodies. I believe that when we slow down and allow ourselves to truly feel, the body knows how to heal- and I’m here to support that process.

I recently moved to Asheville from Florida, feeling a strong pull to the mountains during this season of my life. There’s something about the grounding energy here that feels aligned with the kind of work I’m called to do. I’m looking forward to experiencing all the beauty and rhythm of the seasons in this area while deepening my roots in this new chapter.

My approach to massage is intuitive, intentional, and deeply restorative. I love supporting clients in dropping into a meditative state during our sessions—where the mind can quiet, the breath can deepen, and the body can begin to release what it’s been holding. Whether you’re looking for deep tension relief or simply a moment of stillness, I aim to meet you exactly where you are and create a space where you feel supported, seen, and at ease.

No two sessions are ever exactly the same. I intuitively blend techniques like myofascial release, gentle stretching, cupping, and hot stone work based on what your body needs in the moment. I also offer internal and external TMJ massage, Ashiatsu, and Swedish-inspired relaxation, with Thai massage sessions coming soon as I continue my training in that modality.

I began my journey with massage and bodywork in 2009 at The Omaha School of Massage. I had spent most of my young adult life trying to heal myself of chronic pain and illness that I was unable to find answers for in the realm of allopathic medicine. This lead me down a path of holistic wellness that began as deep personal interest in my early 20’s, and later developed into a desire to help others find the answers they were seeking as well. Immediately following graduation, I added to that training by completing a course as a holistic health coach with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have lived in a number of states across the country, am a passionate and motivated self-learner, and am always seeking to further my education in various forms of holistic wellness. I am also a former roller derby athlete (Terror Masseuse #2586), and while playing in Nashville I also devoted time to teaching roller derby athletes the basics of how to play in a more healthy manner, focusing on the anatomy of a professional skater, injury prevention, and longevity in the sport. I traveled to tournaments across the South East and performed massage for high level events such as the Roller Derby World Championships in 2018. During my time in Nashville, I was also the personal massage therapist to a number of Radio City’s well known singers, producers, and athletes. My personal approach to bodywork reflects a balance of therapeutic, deep, slow, and flowing pressure, and working with clients to get to the root of their issue, utilizing a little bit of everything I’ve picked up along the way these past 15 years.

At age 16, I had my first opportunity to participate in a wilderness immersion program; it lasted for nine months and it woke me up. This awakening showed me that life is about connection and community, that nature feeds my soul, and that I could find purpose in helping others. Before becoming a massage therapist, I spent four years as a therapeutic guide for one of the area’s top wilderness rehab programs. Helping others heal from their trauma and addiction taught me the value of intuition, clear intentions, and empathetic listening. Turns out these skills have all transferred well and now serve to guide my massage practice.

In 2015 I graduated from Asheville’s Center for Massage and Natural Health, a solid foundation but just the starting point for what I continue to learn about bodywork. My approach begins with careful listening to you; whether you need deep trigger point work or a lighter more energetic flow, I tailor the session to meet your needs. I draw from different massage modalities, including Gua Sha, cupping, deep tissue or energy work when indicated. In each session I seek to create an opportunity for you to tune in to your own body more fully. Whatever pain you feel, be it physical or emotional, is a message sent from your body; my job is to help you listen to that message. I may not be the most articulate massage therapist in the world, but knowledge comes in many forms, far deeper than words. We humans know more than we can ever say and my greatest fluency is in the kinesthetic language of touch.

The two massage therapists (I totally forgot their names, but I believe it was Allison and Duncan ) were beyond incredible.

Rachel

“First experience having a 2 hour massage, and it was incredible! I prefer sports/deep tissue massages, and Duncan did an amazing job. I felt wonderful after the massage, and during my morning yoga today, I found my back/hip mobility dramatically improved! I’ve never had such a great massage with such a drastic improvement to my body/mobility. Thank you!! I’ll be back! ️”

“I booked same day with Duncan and it was like the stars aligned. It was my second massage by a male and I felt safe, held, and cared for the entire time. He alleviated neck discomfort I was having and the massage was one of the best I’ve had! Thank you Duncan !”

KW

“I would like to thank Duncan for one of the best integrative massages I’ve ever had. I came in with left shoulder blade pain after years of propping that arm against a computer desk while working. He worked on my shoulder blades from every conceivable angle for almost an hour and I finally found relief. I am so thankful for his professionalism, kindness, and utmost holistic concern for his clients. His words were always kind & poignant to me, and I felt deeply honored. I only wish his schedule allowed him to work more hours, as I’m in Asheville for certain days at a time.”

Just had an hour “target zoning” with “energy work” massage to the abdomen, butt, and legs at “Blazing Lotus” here in Asheville. This is INCREDIBLE!! Nothing like I have ever felt before. I have experienced so many different forms of massage, and this one…takes the cake! The whole BAKERY! NAP TIME! Cause I can’t talk right or walk a straight line right now.”

I was born in Tampa, Florida and played sports growing up, which was the start of my love for movement. I believe feeling good while moving in one’s body is an important component of a fulfilling life. As a young adult I worked as a secondary art teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it’s here where I cemented my love for people-centered work!

I completed my initial bodywork training at the Western North Carolina School of Massage (WNCSOM), which included a certification in Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT). My approach first and foremost creates a grounding environment that centers the client’s goals and needs. I love customizing the experience, whether it be a slow, fluid relaxation massage, a methodical deep tissue or trigger point session, passive stretching, or any combination of these.

I also enjoy educating clients about the body and empowering them to take their health and wellness into their own hands outside of the work we do together. I feel excited to support people in addressing pain, dysfunctions, or imbalances while co-creating a rejuvenating experience.

I am honored to have the opportunity to work with you and I look forward to playing a role in your wellness journey!

“I recently started seeing Corey Rowland at the Wild Rose, and after our very first session, I was immediately hooked. Corey is incredibly professional and has such a calming, grounding presence. He has an intuitive ability to find exactly where the tension is and masterfully maintains the perfect amount of pressure, always adjusting based on your preferences. I leave every session feeling completely reset—more mobile, relaxed, and restored. Corey is truly exceptional at what he does, and I highly recommend seeking out his services.”

I am a North Carolina native, holistic healing arts practitioner, and world traveler. As a massage and bodywork therapist, yoga instructor, and Reiki Master, my approach is comprehensive, energetically attuned, and customized to each individual. After completing a BA in Communication Studies, I embarked on a journey of wellness and self-discovery that led me to pursue a more holistic path. In 2020, I completed an immersive yoga teacher training in Costa Rica, which sparked my passion for somatics and a natural lifestyle. My own recovery from multiple serious injuries deepened my understanding of healing and inspired me to share bodywork and other modalities with empathy and care. I went on to complete my Reiki Master certification and graduate from the North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork, where I studied bodywork, kinesiology, and massage therapy, integrating both holistic and clinical approaches to support healing and recovery. My style blends intuitive awareness with therapeutic intention to create a transformative experience for each client. My path into bodywork began with a deep curiosity about the connection between the body, mind, and energy, along with a natural ability to tune into what others are holding. What started as an intuitive calling has grown into a dedicated practice of supporting others through therapeutic touch, presence, and skilled, attentive care. I graduated from the Florida School of Massage in 2013 and have since developed a well-rounded, integrative approach to bodywork. I am trained in a variety of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal massage, neuromuscular therapy, and sports massage. I specialize in Reiki and energy work, which I often incorporate for those seeking a more holistic experience. In 2017, I began studying shamanism, further deepening my understanding of the energetic and spiritual dimensions of healing, and I am currently enrolled in a Master’s-level acupuncture program to continue expanding my clinical knowledge. Each session is customized to meet your specific needs, combining techniques intuitively and therapeutically to support pain relief, relaxation, and overall balance. Grounded in careful listening—both to you and to your body—my goal is to help you feel more at ease, aligned, and supported, whether you are seeking focused therapeutic work or a calming, restorative session. I look forward to working with you!

It’s an honor to practice massage therapy and support others through the healing power of touch. My relationship with the body began in dance, where I learned to move, stretch, and deeply listen to physical cues. This somatic awareness ~ the mind of the body ~ now lives at the heart of my massage practice.

I offer Thai massage and Swedish relaxation table massage, incorporating stretching, joint mobilization, trigger-point release, acupressure, and deep tissue work. Each session is guided by focused presence and attunement, supporting a harmonious dialogue between body and mind.

I received my massage license from AB-Tech’s Clinical Massage Program here is Asheville and am licensed by the North Carolina Board of Massage & Bodywork Therapy (License #19718). Continuing education includes training with Cat Matlock of FreeBody and Thai massage with Michael Sitzer. My intention is to listen deeply to each body and let it lead, nurturing both physical relief and emotional well-being, knowing the two are inseparable.

My exploration of the healing arts began with a Hatha Yoga teacher training at a remote ashram in India. After teaching yoga for a few years, I took a Thai Yoga Massage class, and fell in love with this playful and meditative practice. From that point on it was a long yet clear path into Massage Therapy. The Thai Yoga tradition of moving meditation is the foundation of my practice, and I strive to make each massage a meditative experience for both client and therapist. A session with me tends to combine specific therapeutic work with a relaxing, holistic approach, and may include rhythmic compressions, passive joint movement, Trager and vibrational healing, positional release, and stretching. My goal is to help clients find more freedom of movement, ease in stillness, relief from chronic pain, and body awareness. Born and raised in California, I have spent enough time in New York to have gained a deep appreciation for the New England values of saying what you mean and meaning what you say. In addition to my holistic arts practices, I also hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and am a self-proclaimed Renaissance woman. I have tried my hand at drawing and painting, sculpture, creative writing, folk dance, singing and songwriting, sequential art, fabric arts and crafts of many kinds. In my spare time I enjoy DIY projects, rambling in the woods, and enjoying my collection of vintage books and vinyl records.

Energy is the fuel for our minds and muscles. It enlivens our moods and permeates every aspect of our being. Massage and bodywork treatments are wonderfully enhanced when energy is blended into the hands with intention and mindfulness. Your healing is a journey taken together, where I bring the tools and you bring the intention. With subtle awareness, I guide the treatments to not only treat the physical body, but also the energetic body, which deserves loving-kindness and attention. It is my calling to see you where you are today, and to help elevate you to a higher place. Since 2002, I’ve treated friends and family with the art of massage and energy work. In 2025, I finally made the jump from a 30+ year career in Information Technology to the healing arts, bringing both hemispheres of the brain to offer a logical and nurturing bodywork practice here in Asheville. I look forward to helping lift up your mind, body, and spirit!

My background in healing began by studying Yoga and discovering the body’s life force energy through conscious breath, embodied movement and vibration. This led me to go through Yoga teacher training, dance training and study movement therapies. I also got into bodywork, studying Thai massage and Cranial Sacral Therapy. I traveled to many countries gaining specialized knowledge in holistic health and hands-on therapies. Then I started a bodywork practice, deepening with the meridian systems, sen lines, acupressure points and chakra centers. I follow Eastern healing philosophies and love to work on the spacious floor mat. I work to awaken the whole body system and create flow, flush and reset. I am passionate about blending the energetic and physical together and my work oscillates from very deep to very subtle. You may participate with breath, sound or communication to enhance your experience. Described as a “Soul Massage,” it is common to leave with lasting effects from our session. Be sure to try a session with me on the floor if you’re curious! Whether we meet on the table or floor, I look forward to healing with you!

I moved from the Bay Area to Asheville two years ago to focus on my artistic practice and soak up the enchanting energy of the Blue Ridge mountains. I’m passionate about infusing my art with restorative and transformative power, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to support these values with the talented crew at Wild Rose as they dedicate themselves to serving and healing our community through their practices. In my free time you’ll find me drawing, bouncing back and forth between creative projects, and reading in the sunshine with my sweet little cat.

I’ve lived in Asheville for about 15 years and have four children, along with a deep love of plants and creating art. I’ve always been passionate about caregiving and building meaningful connections with others. I’m committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming space and offering the best possible introduction to the healing houses.

I’ve spent most of my life in Indiana and found my way to Asheville after feeling a strong call here. I spend a lot of my time in nature, cooking wholesome meals, dancing, and practicing self care. As my life unfolds in Asheville I plan to focus a lot of my energy on herbalism, traveling, yoga, women’s health, and building meaningful connections.

I moved to Asheville to enter into college at UNCA. I am passionate about wellness practices and caring for others. I’m double majoring in health & wellness and psychology and would love to pursue physical therapy. I enjoy nature, animals, and being with my loved ones!

After moving here in October 2025 I was astounded by the vibrant wellness community that exists in Asheville. I have always believed that massage plays an essential role in health and vitality. I value creating a space where relaxation is made top priority! It is an honor to assist those to feel calm and deserving of self care. Outside of work I integrate wellness and beauty in my world by creating art, practicing yoga, spending time in nature, loving on my fur babes and cultivating meaningful connections with those I care about! It is my pleasure to welcome you to either Blazing Lotus and Wild Rose and look forward to sharing the amazing benefits that massage has to offer!

I grew up in upstate New York where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies. I pursued my dream of working for the Walt Disney World Resort, where I met my husband on my very first day. I worked for the Walt Disney World Resort for 15 years in various roles, including Entertainment, Attractions, Guest Relations and Facilitation before becoming a mom and beginning my career as a Social Media and Marketing Manager.

On a vacation to Asheville in 2023, I fell in love with Wild Rose Healing House and Western North Carolina. I began my employment with Wild Rose Healing House and Blazing Lotus Healing House shortly thereafter and have enjoyed becoming a member of the Healing House families. When I am not working, you can find me traveling the world with my family, cooking all the foods, visiting a brewery or enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.
